I just finished the update and another addition to the story of Eternum. I love how 0.8.0 update begins with Calypso saving our life, which reveals the MC being able to traverse Eternum without a neural implant, and ends the update with Calypso saving our life once again from the hands of Thanatos (while being bound by dimertium) only to be transported to her home world: Hyril'ar. I wonder how Calypso's people are going to take in the fact that Calypso is no longer the only descendant of Amina, if what she said about her bloodline being the only one to traverse across realms is correct. Either way, no matter how much I play this game, Calypso is far too important to the storyline to be considered a side girl.
Moving on, another nice touch from this update, is that the girls mainly featured in this update (Nancy, Nova, Annie, Alex, Dahlia) are being far more open to showing their affection to the MC and vice versa without fear. The reasoning for the MC to do so is because of his near-deaf experience stemming from his own arrogance. Not to mention, Annie and Dahlia lost their virginities, which leaves us with Luna and Calypso left to go.
As for Jerry, I appreciate the growth and understanding to move on from Dahlia and not see the MC as a bad luck charm, but as an ally who genuinely wishes for the better. The random, yet fortunate decision to have Jerry now lead the Ishari will undoubtedly help Jerry move on up within the ERE, and see his true worth. I'm all for this little redemption story.
Another thing I appreciated was the usual shyness of Annie when it comes to her actions/mindset around the MC being completely wiped from existence, when that waitress during our date would not stop openly flirting. Annie checked that golddigger real fast, and was arguably my favorite moment from this update, besides the sex scene with Dahlia, and the MC using his powers to switch out the Gem of Doom in El Coyote's possession with the Heart of the Abyss.
Eternum is certainly a top 5 game within this industry for me, and I hope Carbidis keeps up the phenomenal work as usual.
