I´m absolutely staying here for the story. I obviously play these games for the lewd stuff and I want a lot of it, but I love when I start playing and actually want to see the story unfold as much as the sex scenes.

How is this not a porn story? The VN has a story with porn in it.Idk why people think that this is something bad. A porn game does not imply that it sucks - it has an excellent story.
Also it is very likely that the sexual content will ramp up towards the end of the story. Look at once in a lifetime. The game starts off slow but there are a lot of sex scenes towards the end. In addition, I have seen posts by Caribdis in his discord saying we can expect scenes similar to Alex's scene at the end of the latest update going forward and that every girl will get at least one threesome at some point in the story. You can see it in the early access channel if you are a patron.

If anyine is coming here purely for the lewds then this is probably not the VN for them. For that there are a thousand over VN's that conentrate on it and fuck the story. Shall I type it slower next time to make it more understandable?
Yes please type slower and gatekeep porn games harder. I am coming here purely for the lewds and I am happy with what I got. The story is a bonus and is admittedly really engaging but if this game had no porn I would not be playing it. And while it is a bit light on the lewds now, I am looking forward to the lewd scenes in the future based on what the dev himself said (and I would trust his word more than yours).
Let people like what they like and play for the reasons they want to play. Go gatekeep somewhere else.

99,9% of the people on this website came for the lewds, what the hell are you talking about mate. Even the damn ads are about it, or are you telling me this website was just created to encourage me to go to church every sunday morning?
Sure many who love Caribdis because of Oailt expect a great quality product, but in the end people just wanna play smash with any of the LI in game.
I do think that it is true that the game is a bit light on the lewd content right now. But I would absolutely recommend it to others if they want to play a game with decent lewd content provided they are willing to wait a bit.
The Alex sex scene at the end of the latest update is among the best sex scenes you can find in any AVN. The only other update I can think of that I liked as much was the Hana update in pale carnations - but that was an entire eternum length update dedicated to that single character as opposed to the alex scene which was just 1 scene in a large update that had a bunch of other stuff. The game is light in lewd content because it's in development. Caribdis already did that with Oailt. I hate when a game jumps fast into the lewds without any kind of conection and development with the characters. I much rather have a substance and base to make not only the game, but also the girls memorable. And that's why Oailt is still one of the most beloved games around here.
Sure it may not be polished as other top games on this website, but as mentioned before, it was Caridbis first experience in developent. You can clearly see the difference in quality the more the game progresses, not only compared to Eternum.
Eternum is a mix of many things, but the hype and expectations were extremely high because of a combination of many factors, not only the lewds. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the lewds, actually I even want them more, but not at the cost of decreasing the quality of the game's premise along with decreasing the girls personalities. There are games out there with outstanding render quality and it's noticeable how they explore RenPy's engine to the limit, but at the same time they don't connect with me. But tastes are for everyone of course.
I won't prolong more with it with the risk of people giving examples in comparison and risking the thread diving again into OT and recieving the mods hammer. I just hope the point was given. And yes, I'm willing to wait, I follow Caribdis since Oailt's first release and always encouraged people to support him. Besides the games, I admire his work ethic and I believe he is very down to earth with his fans.

Usually 5 1/2 to 6 months per update. Current update is taking a bit longer because Cari took a much-needed long break during the Christmas season.
Next one is likely scheduled for a March release, given that Cari wants to release one more sneak peek around late Feb or early March as per the latest dev progress log, and the update usually comes out (specifically the beta release for the highest patreon tier) a week or two after the last sneak is published.

That would've been true if the 4 scenes per update was still the norm moving forward. However, if the pivot towards "lesser scene count but with greater length and complexity" becomes the standard then scenes will probably feel a lot more evenly distributed given the lengthier story (as opposed to OIAL which had a shorter story/version count so by the time it reached the latter remaining chapters the lewds felt like they came in hot left and right).I mean...yes, that is true, but if we look at Cari's previous game than it is likely that Eternum is rather back-loaded as far as sex scenes are concerned.
