Can anyone give me some insight here? I'm trying to transfer my save files from the game from iOS (Spark Ren'Py Novels app) to an install on my Steam Deck. Both versions are exactly the same and use the mod. Am I SOL, or is there anything I can do to make the saves compatible? I would think they would just work seeing as how I'm running it with the same build on iOS as I am on Linux through WINE/Heroic Game Launcher. I have tried both Eternum.exe and Eternum-32.exe. If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it. Error exception/traceback copied below.

I know you already decided to skip ahead using the Unseen Dialogue option, but for anyone else that has this problem, Eternum uses a quite old version of Renpy and a lot of the apps and websites that let you play it indirectly use at least Renpy 8+, which has some breaking changes in it. It is theoretically possible to make the saves work, but unless you know a lot about Renpy/Python internals its not worth the effort (and even if you do, just skip ahead, takes like 5 minutes).

TL;DR: Theoretically possible to make it work, but don't bother.

I'm wondering how the new update will answer the Elephant in the room, seeing that the MC was left for dead.

1. Will the MC be found and rushed to the Hospital

2. Will he somehow pull through with spontaneous healing in both the physical but also Eternum Realm.

3, Or Is Chop-Chop going to swindle Thanatos out of his Gems. Secretly manipulating the game from the shadows.
I figured one of the possibilities, since Idriel was able to appear to him, is that he summons Calypso subconsciously to the "real world" where she heals him. You know since the "bleeding effect" or whatever crosses over and he has accidently summoned her before. Just a thought.

That makes a lot of sense. It would mean that Calypso has now repaid her debt to Orion by saving his life, and they would be in a slightly awkward "what now?"-situation in regards to their relationship. She'll think about it for a moment, let him know that she'll still stick around as she enjoys hanging around Orion and the girls and by admitting this the relationship between Orion and Calypso deepens into the next stage.

Well, there are calypso_interest and calypsopath variables with no usage atm. Maybe they will affect if she will hang out with Orion or Not .But I don't think anyone would remove Calypso from the game, so it's probably just points for future sexscenes/relationship or maybe it will affect the ending

No mention of it on Discord as of yet, though Cari mentioned that a Progress Report detailing the current status of development will be posted probably around the end of the month.

If he doesn't talk about it within the week, chances are it'll be posted at the end of next month (or the sched could be talked about in the upcoming Progress Report), and will likely be the final batch prior to the DL beta release on November.

So... I just caught up to the latest cliffhanger. That was quite a mean tease XD. I agree that the (overly?) harsh wake-up call was needed, though I didn't expect it happened during such a random moment :HideThePain:. My obvious assumptions were either on Axel or Thanathos pulling a stunt.

1. Eternum: I do think the mystery around Eternum and all the spooky moments with accompanying music are fantastic (despite me being a wuss with such situations). I do especially liked the scenes with Idriel. The werewolves/vampire world was quite fun > Werewolves felt the most funny path, and siding with the hunters seemed kinda wrong in my opinion. Chop-Chop is hilarious.

2. Real world: The last scene with Axel was unexpected but not not welcome. The bleeding occurence seemed kinda weird the first time. Like why did Orion think he slept with the e-gear still equipped, when we saw him going to bed normally after his trip back (and just to appear naked in the Collector event).
Random observation, but quite a few AVNs (west or east) seem to love making the rich parents kinda a jerk (for corny drama), but even if someone is not "caring" much for Alex as a LI, you ought to feel bad for how her shitty dad treat(ed) her.
Luna's past was, yiekes, horrible. I mean kids can be shitty, but hearing the effing teachers badmouth about her? Yikes. It definitely triggered the "Must protect and cherish" feeling. When she high-fived Annie, it was clearly something erotic she saw in her vision (probably a non-brainer conclusion :KEK:). Oh yes and Chang is great. He deserves his happy outcome!

3. Lewd scenes: First and foremost, yes they are hawt. BUT c'mon, what's with Orion's 0 to 100 shift in personality after picking to show how much care about Nova leading to pushing her against the wall while acting/talking like a bad porn actor and going on a humping marathon :rolleyes:. It would have obviously happened sooner (rather than later), but eh... it felt kinda over the top, seeing that Orion *can* converse and act normally (and sweetly) before the mental switch was "flipped", despite sharing the AVN pervy MC trait. I hope it won't feel too samey like Nancy turned kinda wild/"thirsty" and Alex and Penny (ignoring her "Break me..." moment) still uncertain after their initital wild sessions. Luna will definitely have a WILD side to her. The barn scene proved it once she stopped bottling up her emotions. Heck, even the pool scene IRL made her slip out a light "Fuck". Don't get me wrong here, it is no novelty that sex scenes may or may not happen kinda "randomly" after the first actual intercourse (in the real world), and yes I am aware that this is a porn game. And I don't care particularly if harem ending is going to be canon (once more).

Regardless, I appreciate the feedback. I really would like to know more about the engine. Of course, I'm not trying to get into the specifics you mentioned, but am I correct to assume, then, that the app I have on iOS (Spark) uses a more current version of Ren'Py to run this and other games, whereas if you're just running it directly from the .exe, it's using whatever version the game is based on? If that's how it's set up, the concept seems like the iOS app is essentially a Ren'Py emulator of sorts instead of a WINE skin, at least from my (very) limited understanding. If I'm way off base, you're free to have a good chuckle and move along, but I'm just curious to understand it a bit better :)
