I dunno, sounds like you're simply justifying your ignorance by continuing to call it an edgy teenager's name when I've already shown examples of people who're actually named as such. I suppose those people are also edgy by your standards?I know that it is a legit name in the modern era. Doesn't take anything away from my comment. The popularity of the name might vary from countries and cultures but it is a rather uncommon name if you go with English sounding names. It is estimated that about 1700 people are named Orion in the states. There is nothing wrong with having that name in a different setting where characters have more unique sounding names. But having Orion as a name where others have a pretty common sounding English name makes it stick out like a sore thumb. And yes, it seems like something an edgy teenage would call their character. Like someone going with xXxDeathslayerxXx as a nick in a game.
Uncommon as it may be, if it's used in the modern era by more than one person then it's a legit name and not something out of place. Deal with it.
