This is all ok of course, but what I laugh at most is their reaction to his comments
Kinda sucks how each update is taking longer and longer, I remember when earlier updates were 4 months max. At this rate are we gonna be down to 1 update/year for their next game?

Would you rather he burn himself out by going through stress-inducing crunch mode per update and ultimately abandon the game?
Also earlier updates have "passable" renders (Cari's own words, not mine) and about 1 animated lewd scene that mostly use preset animations, hence the speedier dev time. Compare that to more recent updates where the renders are more curated and lewd scenes are more plentiful and are essentially "0.6 Alex scene" tier, and suddenly the longer dev time starts to make sense.

My understanding was that he's having trouble with the last scene possibly due to HS2 shenanigans (and not because of a self-imposed deadline or code breaking down or all that). The dev of Lycoris Radiata also went through the same frustration (sometimes having to rework or abandon certain scene ideas due to them not being workable thanks to studio limitations), ultimately resulting in him abandoning it for Blender and reworking the game from the ground up. Cari's a more stubborn cookie though so he'll likely pull through.
