Equally frustrating to obtain an artifact that has no use. It just becomes a decoration at that point.
Fun fact. DnD campaigns are filled with items that you would LOVE to use...

And as you acquire them, you go with old faithful bash attacks and throwing potions or something over the new +3 Vorpal sword of destruction that might break if you use it because you don't use it on the boss when it's convenient and why aren't you all using the new stuff that could be useful even if it breaks?

Why do you all hoard items worse than squirrels in winter?!

What is wrong with you all?!

...

Sorry, DM flashbacks...

Anyway, you can find that people love decorations in all sorts of games even if it's to a frustrating degree...

I know. Been there, seen that. Still don't agree with it. As a DM, if I put something in the game, there is a reason it is there. My players learned the hard way.

Or my 99 health and mana potions in Diablo. What if I need one of them later?!?

Ripples is similar in some minor ways but think more "Back to the Future" vibes. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally tried it after I played Eternum. I was also looking for something worthy after Eternum.
It's incredible how Ripples' author reaches outstanding levels in rendering and animations using the old and relatively unsofisticated HS1 tool.

Yeah, I always hoard bullets in zombie survival games, beyond any reasonable expectations. I end up making the games harder for me, with the intent of making them easier.
i am starting to think this is a very common trend, as i do exactly the same, in every game that has those game mechanics. (i hate throwing stuff away irl too. i might need something later) :p

Funny enough, I'm the opposite IRL. I tend to throw stuff away at the slightest chance. But I think that's because I've moved a lot, that helps you not be a hoarder.

Can't wait for the new update! (post nut clarity). The story is really good, Great job Caribdis, loved that he focused on character development over wanking. Reminds me of Touch to Unlock.
