Dev progress for the update didn't begin until after the Public Release, which was back in the middle of January.Oof.
I went from "Hell yeah - 1/4 down" - to remembering that the last update was December. We're halfway through the dev cycle length for that update at 4 months, but have only 26% progress... I thought the music issues only set Cari back a couple of weeks?
We have a saying: Good things take time, and sometimes with a detour!Oof.

The problem I have with this statement is that according to Langston's audio logs, #48 to be specific, they only say the creators of Alien had a dream which doesn't explicitly imply they projected into Andromeda, but it doesn't preclude the possibility either so it isn't an established fact.Edit: Addendum:
-Everything being a simulation ala Thirteenth Floor undermines the revelation from the Andromeda tapes that people like the creators of Alien have been able to project into Eternum long before the founding of Ulysses or the creation of the VRMMO.
What's to say that Eternum/Once in a Lifetime universe isn't a simulation? That was the whole point with The Thirteenth Floor, simulations within simulations which is highlighted by how the movie ends with a scene were the protagonist is in the "real world" which then ends with the distinct visuals and sound of a monitor turning off:That coupled with the revelations provided by William and Eternum's probable ties with Caly's story about Anima imply that Eternum has existed for a very long while, possibly even before humanity in the "real world" even existed.
Also it kinda undermines the point of this game being set in the same universe as "Once in a Lifetime" where the big reveal in that game is that magic and the supernatural exist in the setting, so any scifi component that this game has is essentially a smokescreen that masked its true nature, which we are now finding out in the recent updates.
The log stated that the creators of Alien got the idea of the Xenomorphs AFTER they saw it in a dream, implying they astrally projected into Eternum in their sleep which led to the encounter. This matches the infodump made by William at the beginning of 0.7 where he mentioned that people have always had access to Eternum (tho it happens at random as opposed to "logging in" with the implant) but have dismissed said events as dreams or visions of the afterlife and such. The problem I have with this statement is that according to Langston's audio logs, #48 to be specific, they only say the creators of Alien had a dream which doesn't explicitly imply they projected into Andromeda, but it doesn't preclude the possibility either so it isn't an established fact.
What's to say that it is? Being in a simulated universe implies that uniform logic is still somehow followed by the simulation in order for things to remain consistent and not break, as oftentimes the best solution to break the simulation is to apply a defiance of logic. And yet the entire setting is littered with leaps of logic and things that make no sense (i.e. the entire existence of Stabby Mike) that I find it weird that the simulation hasn't broken down into a glitchy buggy mess already due to the absolute weirdness of it all. What's to say that Eternum/Once in a Lifetime universe isn't a simulation?
Honestly it feels like the story is in mid phase but since game is ending in V13-14(unless v14 is for the epilogue), then we can said that with the ending of V0.8 we have enter the endgame phase of the story.is the end of the story very near? I fell in love with this game
The princess is in a very good position for sexyness, just saying...
Taking into account the usual 8 months between updates:
we won't force him to prolong it more than necessary but we will definitely force him for an eternum 2 *cough* *cough*Honestly it feels like the story is in mid phase but since game is ending in V13-14(unless v14 is for the epilogue), then we can said that with the ending of V0.8 we have enter the endgame phase of the story.
Tl:dr: yes, cuz we can't force Caribdis to extend the game until Half life 3 is released xD
Could also be that they return to Eternum after third game. Some devs like Talothrat have made the conscious decision to not work on two games set in same setting back to back, because that way you can burn out of it way faster. It's better to do one or two games set in different universes in between. That is common thing with writers, not all of course, that they start to hate the story/setting when they are nearing the finish line, because they have already come up with everything long before that point.Dunno about that, chief...

(Tho to be fair he did say he's considering it and nothing is yet set in stone)

So considering he was at 2% on January 21st, we might safely assume work began around January 15th.Dev progress for the update didn't begin until after the Public Release, which was back in the middle of January.
Edit: So yeah, technically it's only been less that 3 months since development began...

most lightly end of AugustSo considering he was at 2% on January 21st, we might safely assume work began around January 15th.
If we were at 26% by April 8th, the projection means this update might take around ten and a half months.
So if the update progress is stable, we could be looking at a release date at the end of November or start of December.
Now, that said, this is just statistics. And statistics with such small samples are subject to strong variations. The progress might be faster or slower than that, since there might be stuff that's easier to do, or stuff that needs more time.
What I mean to say is, this is not a reliable calculation, just a rough rule of thumb to set some baseline expectations.
TL/DR - Quality takes time, don't get all too anxious about when the update will be done, it's probably gonna be after summer, and possibly at the end of the year.

If someone wants, you can take part in another poll. This time, you have points from 1(outsider) to 8(favorite)(no characters can have 0 points) to distribute( (basically, you need to create a ranking). Also,I will hide the results for 24-48 hours,so seeing an unpopular character losing won't make you give her more points. And in the end,we are supposed to have a character popularity rating
P.S. The points are on the right, don't mess them up with the place
