I think he died because he was "disconnected", his mind is trapped in Eternum or just died. His physical body doesn't have any damage afaik. And it's said that the system should protect you from death in Eternum. Of course Benjamin is a special case, one of the mysteries of the story.

Considering that the set up is similar to The Matrix a theory like a detached real body from the Eternum one doesn't work so well at least in my opinion.
Imho the part the regard the sex scenes and why we didn't see anything in the real world could be that Caribdis is not interested in showing that ( maybe for now), so we need to wait and se when we will reach that point.

Yeah it can be, but to me it seems too stretched, I'm not saying that you're wrong mind me, but considering the neural implant and the Matrix similar set up it's seems strange to me, we will see when we will go further in the game though.

The 'senses' the implant stimulates would be logical parts of the brain thought, the rest of the body is not really neded for that, so i don't think that the nervous system of the body would get overloaded and with the first dive where you got explained that you loose the feeling of your limbs my best guess is that it works like in sword art online or matrix.

About the killing there are multiple ways how that could go, some kind of charge from the implant which would lead to brain dead, or giving the brain the impulse to release adrenaline in large amounts, leading to a heart attack.
Well at least that's my best guess, but then it could be just as well some kind of supernatural thing...curious how Caribdis will explain it, if he does.

I agree with you and yours it's a very interesting analisys, thing is Caribdis was able to create a set up that sound very plausible without giving out too much infos, so he can play it the way he wants keeping it coherently, wether it's only scientific or with a supernatural tint in it.
And he knows us ( and his Patreons) so well that he's leading us where he want, while we are thinking of all the possibles outcomes of the story and being hooked to the game as well, I would dare to say that we are all inside the Eternum universe.

I asked about this before, and apparently the answer is "no", you don't make a mess of your suit. And I don't think that last bit is possible for you to sense - Nancy could be blowing MC for real while he's in the game doing Dalia, but he won't sense what's going on outside due to the effect of the neural implant being active, which I think is the same reason you don't cum, piss or crap yourself in the real world while you're in the game. It's kind of like your body more or less self-paralyzing during sleep so you don't hurt yourself. That can be true, it was one of the possible scenarios that I considered as well, we will see it was curious because Max ( I don't remember his name sorry, the guy that's pestering Dalia) didn't die when he got his head smashed by the orc, and this mean that not every death that can occur in Eternum can automatically result in a deat irl.
But of one thing I'm certain, Benjamin's death wasn't casual, and I'm curious to see how it will play in the long run.
