If the chapter focuses on story there will be people complaining why there are no more interactions with the LI, if the chapter focuses more on character and relationships development people will complain why it's only fanservice. There is no pleasing everyone, just enjoy the ride.
Given where they are and who else is in the house, every second he drew that out was just asking to be discovered. No wonder he went right for the gusto.

It's like the people who complain that there's too much cooking in Fate/Stay Night (the VN) when the point of those scenes is to have some downtime right before the plot-heavy moments happen. You can't just throw in plot after plot after plot, you need some time for the story to breath, give characters some moment to interact with one another and do some mundane shit. It's easy to forget that these are supposed to be living people with their own lives and shit, not just characters who are beholden to the plot.
And even despite that, as I've pointed in a post earlier, plot STILL kinda happened in this update. It's not much compared to the past updates, but it's there. The story didn't stagnate like in most filler episodes. It STILL moved forward.

And then when its just story progression continuously or theres a lot of LI development, people will complain that the pacing is too fast and feels rushed for either of those lol, there's no winning.

I've noticed something curious about Penny replaying Eternum once again. In v0.1 (early at the game in the breakfast scene) she says that she's beginning her freshman year of Journalism in Kredon University
Must be probably a small confusion about time.

I don't know, just throwing that out there. Maybe you're right and it's an oversight thing.
This game is so good that the LI's , at least for me, are a plus, because the story just keeps getting better, and that piano at the end of the chapter was amazing

Had high expectations, this is a summary of my thoughts:
Halloween party was a huge letdown, feels like it was too short and lacked content (compared to other top game where it felt like a party for COLLEGE students). This party felt very childish and not like halloween. Too many scenes that lack logic and is just a way for developer to have sexual content.
Art wise, muy bueno, and nice touch with adjustment to MCs look. Animations and music, chefs kiss.
I really liked the writing for Eternum plot and the episode and from what it looks like "maybe" some real choices that may change the gameplay in future. So thats a big plus, because there are too many choices that doesnt matter.
This update was a mixed bag for me, I would say
three stars out of five (slightly above average).

I'm actually one of those who feels that some of the pace are moving too fast like Dalia giving a BJ for example, but i do understand that this is not a manga or novel where you can put lots of details into it, i'm pretty sure Caribdis are capable of putting lot of details if he wants to but if he does then this VN would be ended in 10 years probably lol, i mean even with this pace there are still people complaining "lack of penetration sex scene", " the relationship is not realistic because she's a virgin and shouldnt behaved this way" and so on.

Sooooo.... At the party, can you only get the scene with either Penelope or Nova in one playthrough? Tried a couple of times to see if I can get both and i'm stuck

You can get both. In both routes you will have a point where the respective character is doing something else for a while and they both even tell you that you can look for the other.Sooooo.... What I did was start with Penelope-->Went to Nova and finished her part-->Went back to Penny. Completely possible.

Personally, I'm fine with the pacing if only because people seem to forget that time skips happen every now and then and what scenes we are getting with the girls are actually highlights of their relationship with Orion, with the small interactions and such likely having happened during the days that were skipped.
^Like these aren't just transitionary slides. Stuff likely happened during these skips, stuff that were too boring to show but likely contributed to the girls' growing feelings for Orion (i.e. hanging out, having small talk, bumping into each other during classes or while walking around town, etc.). The only time it doesn't apply is when it's outright stated that Orion and said LI hadn't interacted with one another for days (such as in the case of Annie after the "Run Boy Run" event).
You can get both. Once you get control of Orion (MC) at the party, head right and then right again, then interact with Penny and watch her event (she will leave the room after). Once that's done, head straight back to the lobby (DON'T GO TO THE CHANGING ROOM) and go left and left, then just focus on trying to get through the Nova event until it ends (there's a point during this event where you are tasked to track down an item, head to the changing room when that happens (go back to lobby, head right, then left) then talk to Penny). Once you're done with Nova, go back to the lobby, head right then right again. Penny's event should trigger once you get to the room (hint: Dare is always the right choice and so is Tails. There's not a single scene that lack logic, what ? The party is there to get closer to Nova and Penny, so of course it's centered around their relationship to Orion. It's not "an excuse to have sexual content", it's an "excuse" to get closer to them because that's what the party is about. Sexual content is there because it's a porn game but it doesn't come out of nowhere. Nova and Penny both have a crush on Orion thanks to everything that already happened before between them. This party, in which people are supposed to have fun and let themselve go, is indeed an excuse to act on their feelings and get contents with them.
Also if that feel childish to you, it's because it is. College students don't go to parties to silently drink tea around a clean table and debate about philosophy or talk about rents and taxes. They usually go there to have fun, drink, get laid, and play stupid games, which leads to them acting childish. So clearly the atmosphere was on point, and litterally everything that leads to sexual content is justified by the characters and consistant within the context of this party.
I was not sure about answering this because everyone has the right to have an opinion but sometimes seeing criticism about something that's not even accurate is kinda annoying. It's like saying you don't like Annie because she's too mean with others or you don't like Calypso because she's ugly... dude.

Mixed feelings about the update. On the one hand, as someone who really likes the story in this game, I was a little disappointed that we didn’t see any kind of plot development, on the other hand, the focus in this update was precisely on the development of relations between the characters and I liked Luna's path. So, overall it was good. I hope in the next update the focus will shift back to the main story.
