Still, it's not an original storyline
Being original is never a quality when it comes to tell a story, it is how you tell it that is important. You can have the most original plot ever, if you can't deliver it in a way that appeal to your audience it still will be crap.

And Caribdis is very good at using tropes and clichés. For example, all the part in the last update with Luna is cliché over cliché, but as he is playing with our expectations you never know if he will fully dive into the cliché or use it as a diversion, which make all the experience fun because you never know how the cliché will be treated.

Hola Caribdis, amazing game!
2. I think "masseuse" is feminine, at least when singular, and the male person giving massages would be "masseur".
You are correct, masseur and masseuse are French words, and masseuse is indeed the feminine of masseur. But I'm pretty sure the gender confusion is intended to play with the idea that some massage parlors are just prostitution in disguise (and as we know most of the time prostitutes are females).

I'm not really sure why you'd cut off the 2nd half of my sentence in your quote, where I say it has largely been well-executed, and then proceed to tell me that it's not about the story it's all about the execution. Also, to be fair, pretty much every porn game out there is absolutely riddled with cliches. Having cliches is almost a cliche in itself.

This has better writing, higher production values, and more immersive scoring than almost any other game or VN on this website (aside from maybe "Being a DIK"). I really don't understand this 'crusade' of yours, and certainly not in this instance. Why not find something truly subpar to rag on? There's plenty of that on this website.

Because it seemed to me that your main point was that it is not original. Maybe I was wrong and so forgive me for misunderstanding what you said.

And for the clichés, there is being cliché and knowing how to use cliché to entertain your audience. Caribdis falls in the second category.

What crusade? Are you such a snowflake that no aspect of the VN is subject to criticism? Go back and read what I wrote in my previous comments. I loved the first 4 chapters. This is an above average VN. For whatever faults it has the story has been well executed. I have been enjoying it and will continue to play it. The art and animations are great. Does that sound like "ragging" to you? I "ragged" on a single aspect of it (and still will, if you ask), and then got a complete explanation, breakdown and solution for a problem I never presented about a point I never made. You've got a problem with my 85% positive outlook of the game as being too negative? Tough shit.

No problem, and you're absolutely correct.

I think it's really just that gendered French words that become loan words in English tend to get kind of degendered over time since English is significantly less gendered in general. For instance, fiancé and fiancée are generally interchangeable in English, and fiancée is kind of getting phased out with fiancé often being used for both men and women. In this case, masseuse is more or less gender neutral in English.

Yo Nancy is starting to scare me with that crucifixion threat. AND I LOVE IT! I was definitely on the fence with this game, but I've been blown away at every single turn. Nothing feels too over the top and all the characters are believable, even the background people. This is GotY material right here.
It was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

Hey, is there any sort of voice credits for this game? The voice of Captain Isaac in the Astrocorp station logs kind of sounds like Yongyea. I would be shocked af if it were him but if I were just starting a VA career I might take some uncredited roles in odd places just to fill a portfolio for later ones. Anyways, great game, keep it up.

No voice actor credits. Someone theorized the other day that Caribdis might have voiced it himself. Without a specific credit, that gives credence to the theory.

I legit need the full soundtrack for this game.
Do a search of the thread for "soundtrack" or maybe "music". I know someone pulled together one for one of the AVNs I follow, and I thought it was Eternum. I think it was after the most recent release, so within the last ~50 pages (yeah - LOTS of discussion at release time - I came on after a day and a half to 23 (27?) new pages, and there have been about 20 more since).
