Also, it's very refreshing when a character is very good at something, yet loses to somebody else because they are just better at it. You don't see that very often in stories.
Nah, is quite common in shonen battle stories where power levels are all over the place and the only things that make a person win depends on internal flashbacks during the fight or whenever the plot demands it (and that's usually where the character somehow remembers their training and uses it to achieve victory).

This is game about good boy,and this game shows that very well.
A good, shy boy who is unsuccessful in love or too lonely will often dream about girls who always come to him without having to conquer them, even doing almost everything during sex for him! In fact, he is also very passionate about girls' bodies (especially the breasts as you mentioned). You can see that he often looks at them but only whispers to himself. When having sex, he seems to lose all awareness and only focuses on finding holes to cum! That depicts the psychology of a shy boy in real life and is also the reason why most girls do not like good boys! At the same time, such boys often dream that they are smart, strong, and always the ones who stand up to protect girls to win their hearts.(But always with the luck of being chosen and an invincible superpower..)
Very realistic description
But yes ! I wish they can make one other version of this game but a bad boy path or a real playboy !Or maybe hey may add more options so players can become who they want instead!I've also seen a few choices that seem corrupt but not enough to make Orion different from his nature.
Good summary imo.

But wished there would be another kind of MCs in games, aside from the 'nice guy' and 'bad boy': Good-hearted, but authoritative and leading.

Every?

/glances at Chang, Victor, Philippe, Raul, Noah, and Hugo

Yeah, dunno about that, but you do you I guess...
V
every 2nd guy
axel, eternumite taking photo with penelope, dalia's wizard guy, emperor, yoga instructor, the two hogwarts wizards at summoning duel, benjamin, gladiator during the match, nancys husband when she talks about him, gladiator dwarf coach, lunas dad whiteknighting against jerry at the quiz, the model agent, teacher is shown as lazy and corrupt, roman guy wanting to scam nancy at her first play

and I'm only at the start of the heist...

good have been maximo, the gladiator after the match, lunas dad aside from the quiz.

just gives feminist vibes if so many men are shown in a bad light, and it makes MC look like a whiteknight if he has to constantly 'save' the girls and be hostile to the other guys. its unpleasant.

PS: thanks for answering so many questions in the last weeks btw. :)

I would hardly consider the game feminist, tbh. Not bashing on your opinion, just giving my two cents on that specific part of it.

"Every" implies all of the non-MC guys tho. That is the notion I disagree with since there are some guys in the story that aren't hyper douchebags.

And if you're going to accuse everyone of being a douchebag, might as well accuse Orion as well given how he acts later on in the future.

Every game is (basically). Just depends on which feminism one is talking about. Its surely not the batshitcrazy version, but I just find the game exudes the " " attitude. Not that it matters much, though. :)

"Every 2nd" means 50%, though. At least thats how I meant it. I don't mind bad behaviour. I was referring to that the game pictures the guys as bad. Wants the player to see them as bad. Which I'd say it does with most of the guys, while the women are almost all depicted as wonderful in one way or another.

Just to clarify what I meant.

With all due respect, but being the greatest bachelor in the entire universe to the point of having an harem with your childhood friend, your babysitter and her 2 daughters, along with their friends and a princess is quite a bit far away of being feminist in my opinion...

One of the scenes clearly shows how fond a girl is for potatoes, as much as I love the girl in that scene I don't see how feminist that is, but fine... everyone has their opinions I guess.

Feminism is emancipation. Emancipation is freedom of choice. All the girls in eternum only do a thing if they like it and Orion (devs voice to a degree) thinks its awesome that they can do whatever they want. Anti-feminist would be the position that a woman should not be free to do whatever she wants, but that a man (husband, father, etc.) has say over her life (like forbidding penelope for example to post sexual bikini pics on instagram, or Lunas father having say over if she can just bang Orion or if he needs to marry her first). Being part of a harem is feminist if she is because she wants to be, and it's anti-feminist if she is forced to be.

Thats how I would define it in the broadest sense, the core of feminism. Not sure what people think of nowadays when they hear feminism...

I don't think Orion ever takes authority over any of the girls decisions. But I'm oly at the heist.

I know that. I also understand that the MC is respectful to the women, unlike many other adult games. I didn't speak for the MC's point of view, I spoke about the player's view. Let's be frank, while we all (mostly) love the game due the story, most also see the girls as pieces of meat (it's fantasy after all, not real life). While Caribdis is an outstanding dev, and his game is stellar, let's not ignore that the game also grew in appeal due it's adult content.

As much as I like Caribdis approach in terms of how women are treated in general in his games, this isn't a lovey-dovey game at most. The girls assets are exceptionally drawn to please the player, besides their personality.

I'm not trying to disdain your argument btw, what you said about feminism in real life it's still true (and I've studied feminism at university btw), and it's true that the game is much more respectful to women than comparing to other games in the same genre, but in the end, the game also has the objective to please the player with the girls. It's a bit as fan service in anime, the MC can be extremely nice to the female characters in anime, but that doesn't mean there isn't some objectification because it sells, it that comparison makes any sense to you, to see what I was trying to say.

I think I disagree on almost everything. See it rather similar to Krytax.

But I appreciate the friendly conversation. :)

How important is it to play once in a lifetime before this? I am probably planning to either way, but just wondering how much the two are connected.
