Well, I don't like to be the black sheep and I know many will jump in my head, but I have to say it... In the last update, Caribdis said that he apologized for the fact that the development of V0.8 took so long (10 months) and that the next update would definitely take less or at most the same amount of time to be completed. We are at the point where version 0.9 is almost complete and he hopes that if all goes well it will not take more than 12 months to finish the update. Don't get me wrong, I love this game and the style of games he develops, but if it takes a year from now for an update, this is probably the last game I play from update to update before it's finished. And I keep playing it like this because I know the game is nearing its end. I know that the updates have many hours of gameplay and are large in size, but honestly a year of waiting is too long... Either he splits an update into two updates or I'll play the games he makes after they're finished, preferring to play them from start to finish when they're complete. I personally don't have the patience to wait a year to see what comes next in a game for a few hours of play. When he started developing the game, it took 2 months for an update to appear, then 4, then 6, and so on until we reached a year. From update to update, the time required for development has increased constantly, adding 2 months each time. If I knew from the start that this would happen, I would wait until the game was complete to play it. I wrote this comment in the hope that somehow Caribdis will read it. And I guarantee there are many people who think the same but haven't said anything because they expect half the forum to jump in their heads. It's easy to find excuses, but when you're developing a game you have to take into account the unexpected dalays. Plus, this has been happening constantly until now, when it's taken a year / update. Now you can "execute" me, at least I said what I had to say...
I would advise playing the game when it's finished or only play games that lack the complexity this one has. With less complexity the dev can have a faster update cycle but with more choices that actually can have an effect it's only natural that as it progresses further all of those inevitable options have to be scripted and rendered as well and it quickly turns into a mountain of work each update. Some devs will segment this across several updates by only advancing certain paths each update or reducing the impact of choices so the story comes back to a central point regardless of choices. This dev is clearly not making those sacrifices in order to give the player the most robust story of their choosing possible. At least it isn't like The Hard Way where its been a year of updates and the player has only gained a few dedicated scenes for a few characters with 0 story progression simply because the dev made more characters than they could realistically support.

This poll was done 3 years ago and back when updates were much smaller. If Cari were to do another poll after 0.9 I think we'd get a much different result.
Considering the overall sentiment on Discord being a lot supportive of Cari (from increasing the render count to being more understanding with the delays), the poll results will likely be the same.

I love this game for the longer updates, it feels fulfilling after the wait and honestly generates enough stuff to keep talking about for months (Cari releasing sneaks in-between also helps a lot with the wait). Then start a rerun and by the time I slowly finish it, next update release comes close lol

You can't predict the result of a poll based on vibes alone. You can both support Cari and prefer shorter dev cycles.

No chance it's still 95/5 today.

When the replies to Cari's posts even on Patreon are mostly telling him to take all the time he needs and not rushing updates to prevent a burnout, those aren't vibes but people legitimately telling him that they're willing to wait as long as it takes.

You may not like it, but these are the people Cari listens to and the ones who'll likely vote if there ever was a next poll. And yes, given what they're saying, I won't be surprised if it ends up having the same result as the first one.

It is, of course, worth noting that a poll taken among paying patrons will likely have a much skewed result than one taken of, say, people here. Folks who actively contribute to the game and support his work financially are much more likely to be people satisfied with the current way of doing things. I suspect if he ran another Patreon poll it would be largely the same outcome - perhaps slightly less of a landslide, but still significantly in favor of long updates - while one run here or even in his Discord might be a tighter race. I'd still expect it to be decisively in favor of long updates, but short updates would at least win double digit percentages that way.

I don't think I even have such a list tbh. I love Annie, so I'm down for any content with her, but I don't know that I've given a great deal of thought to who else might be involved, other than looking forward to her and Luna. But MC kind of hinted at Nancy joining in with him and Annie (in Annie's BJ scene, she was concerned about having the door locked, because what would happen if Nancy were to talk in? He says she'd probably join them). Nancy just adores Annie, so...

Am I reaching here? Quite possibly. wrt Dalia, Annie has a clear thing for her ass, as already discussed--she says so at least one (I'm pretty sure twice, but I don't have another screen shot), we have her eyeing it, etc., so there's at least some reason to suspect we might be heading for a threesome involving the two of them. On this? MC could just be making a joke. He's absolutely right she wouldn't throw them out for having sex, but does he really think she'd join in? And are we supposed to take that as foreshadowing a threesome? That's probably a stretch. But I think it'd work well.
I don´t have an actual list, it was just a way to say that I didn´t even think of that possibility. For me it has always been Dalia and Alex and then every other combination. Annie/Luna seems like it´s going to happen down the line, although no one really knows for sure.
I would say most combinations involving Alex or Dalia would be at the top of my head.

I think the MC at the time was making a joke, maybe with a wishful intent, but now we know that Nancy would probably joined them in some form, so his joke turned out to be a fact.

Think of it like a book. In fact let's take the example of Charles Dickens' novels. Back in the 19th century when they were written it was done in the form of serialization. Chapters were included in newspapers and that was how you read the novel. Now would you have wanted full chapters once a week or a couple of paragraphs daily? I know I would prefer full chapters rather than half-finished ideas. Typically I find games with quick updates don't have the most compelling stories.
