Anyone else getting this error upon loading where EP8 ended? Last I played was v0.8 so do I need to load saves in 0.8.6 first to make them work? I see in changelog that there were some script changes in the meantime. I don't use any mods

Figured it out, apparently the game still needs Sancho mod save fixer even though I haven't used his mod since 0.7

Yeah I have exactly the same error message. Game and loading saved files worked fine in v8.0 and v9.0 loads perfectly fine but Will Not load any of my saved files. Is that the same as you had And where do I get a copy of the Sancho Mod save fixer?

Well, for Penny I vaguely remember that the truth or dare scene at the uni party, there are some questions that she was asked about her sexual experience and her answers were quite heavily implied that she’s a virgin (or i’m just imagining things to cope with it idk lol)

As for Alex even if she’s a virgin, she would NEVER admit it. For me it would be strange for her to be a virgin, but on the other hand it’s even more strange imagining her open up to a random guy enough to the point of having sex with them. (Especially before she met a specific guy who complimented her pen.)
But, then again maybe it’s just a casual hook up.

So I think it’s a good decision to keep it vague and never mention it at all, not like it matters to the story anyway. It only matters to a virgin obsession freak(like me).

You mean the worst ending of all games, of all time, ever, the ending that utterly ruined an otherwise awesome game? No. Caribdis wouldn't be so utterly stupid as to crash and burn a decade of work like that. DPK probably is going to ruin badiklike that though.

Considering that this game is harem (and has a confirmed harem ending according to the dev) and the story themes revolve around death and rebirth I doubt any main LI death - if any - will be permanent.

It's not that kind of story, it "could" happen in a fake game over scenario like back in Once in a Lifetime, but I don't think the story will have a dark ending.

I too think Alex is virgin from the way her story (Penny I am 100% definitely is) is set up. She's just a confident and open girl and doesn't need no sex or prior experience to be confident and open. It feels out of character to even see her get a casual hook up especial since she was focusing on getting out of her house. And I think William would have taken serious steps if she was fcking around to "annoy" him given how seriously he takes family reputation thing

Bruh, so many em dashes and other indicators of GPT slop with the last update. Looks like Caribdis started to use ChatGPT for at least some of the dialogue. The dialogue for choosing to not enter the portal is certainly puke worthy. Hopefully it doesn't get any worse.

don't know about AI slop, but the dialog is definetely way too corny at too many points. Also the characters mostly feel like the same character. It's probably because they are all written by the same guy.
Even the MC behaves too much like a moron, I guess for comedies sake ?? can't say I'm a fan. This was always the writing style though, way before ChatGPT.

I'm enjoying the mysterie and the power fantasy. Too bad they don't go deeper into a proper power/magic system, maybe even with a skill tree or smt. it's at least enertaining enough.
Obviously the renders are gorgous and there are even some parts, that make you feel like you can actually make choices for your character sometimes.

Sounds like a recipe for clipping, considering how wonky HS2's camera can be. In fact, I'm pretty sure some scenes are the way they are as some sort of compromise due to that (as Cari's pet peeve is basically anything that clips and is why he's very critical of early chapter renders due to that).

I used to hate HS style VN, and only play 3D VN with Daz render. But after I've played Eternum, it becomes polar opposites because now I can't play any VN with Daz render without feeling uncanny anymore. For fuck sake, I can't even make my own Daz render without feeling uncanny. I had to install like 500GB of Honey Select 2 to satisfy my urge to create 3D render because of Eternum. Anyway, just wanted to say this game is fucking amazing, 0.9 is everything I need, and now after finishing it, I'm now depressed AF.
