To be fair, that would explain why elves, in spite of their infinite lifespans and thus endless potential to learn and improve, don't come to actually dominate any fantasy world ever. I mean, realistically, there is just no plausible explanation why elves would not dominate in all things artistic, craft and science. And all the excuses like them being super traditional just frankly don't work. All it takes is a single Newton or Tesla that happens to also live a couple millennia to get the snowball rolling. And there is nothing nobody could do to stop them.

I mean, just imagine a society where every single great artist, scientist and philosopher ever is still around and kicking, sharing their ideas and working together. That is the sort of snowball that would get you tanks and assault rifles by the time the rest of the short lived races just can not compete with.

A society full of bitter, spiteful mutants angry at everyone around them due to unresolved sexual tension and romantic drama however would have be exactly the sort of backward force that might hold them back.
nah, it's explained much easier. It's been done by Elder Scrolls series too.
a. Low birth rates.
b. Recuperation of losses. Yes, one elven mage is stronger than any human due to centuries of experience... buuuuuut, humans have 10 times more. And even with proportional trade, elves will need to spend ANOTHER century+ to raise another mage, while humans will have 10 more in 25 years.
c. I don't think you understand how inventions work. Every single great artist, scientist and engineer still kicking around won't achieve what you'd think because they'll be just as limited as we are/were. Every new invention is based on previously accumulated knowledge AND EXPERIENCE. So elves living longer wouldn't give them that boost to science tree you think it will. I mean it's an advantage, sure, but not a colossal one. Plus it's a question of drive. We burn with passion for stuff because our lives are fleeting, we won't have time for everything. Elves? What do they have to hurry for?

The main advantage is in the fact that all of them are still there in one place and able to work together. Smart people are just naturally driven to do stuff. They can't just sit around doing nothing for centuries. It's that drive that makes them special more than anything else. And when you put so many of them together and able to cooperate they compound massively.

And frankly the whole idea of a species that has a low reproductive drive and no desire to grow, expand and explode is just inconsistent with basic evolutionary principals. Such a species would be rapidly outcompeted by others and die off well before they got to becoming notable.

Wait so, I'm confused, I thought we already knew People who Died in Eternum were Dying in Real Life. Why did the Cliffhanger feel so...ominous or revealing?

Unless...what they meant was that ANY kind Deaths were Resulting in Real Deaths, and not just Paltorian ones?

In that case...the Whole Group is basically playing Eternum right now at Alex's right? That's...

Just finished the update and have the same question. I think that it's the weakest cliffhanger that we have in a long time(start from 0.5)

Don't think that they meant ANY kind of deaths, 'cause in that case it should be say this way.

Also, 600 deaths in the world of the Eternum is not so much. You can call me cruel, but we have already witnessed 2 deaths. And you shouldn't be a genius to figure out that there were more. And now we probably know what type of cliffhanger to expect in 0.10 or 0.11(Someone will be logged out and have brain trauma, or even worse . At least I hope that it will not be Alex :eek::eek:)

The only question that this update gives us is "who called us in the end" and is t the same person who told us to "find Calipso" in 0.1.

It's a cliffhanger cause some of the girls were in Eternum, so the idea being planted is that they might've died when the power went out.

And I thought it was 600,000 deaths?

In this case situation gets even WORSE. Now he's not just "the other" - he's the ENEMY. Have you met women in your life? Cuz I can see Calypso's mind making connections it tried to make in early 0.8 that it's all a long con and a plot to enslave her and siphon her powers. And it'll take A LOT to convince her it's not true and you're on her side, come hell or high water. She's kinda prone to radical solutions in such cases. Plus she's literally royalty, she's not gonna roll over and submit just because you turned out to be "technically" above her.

No, I'm for now convinced that relationship with her needs to be treated like a friendly giant panther. Carefully, gently and no fucking stupid sudden movements. She's a good girl, she loves us already, this changes nothing behaviour-wise, don't fuck it up by going "okay, job's done, now you're mine".

As for 2nd paragraph - yeah, lol, ain't happening.
To your first "point", I'd suggest you haven't played the game. Literally, the MC almost dies for her multiple times, but yes: obviously he's "the ENEMY". I could see Calypso previously making that connection maybe, but if she still thought it as "all a long con", there's no way she'd have let herself get "sullied" by the MC in v0.9.0. It would be both "beneath" her and a serious lapse in judgement given his being "the ENEMY". What a silly contention. I feel like you need to replay this (at least the last two releases) to have any conception of what she might be thinking. Honestly, you seem to be taking past experiences with women and slapping them on Calypso. So sure, I won't put it past the realm of possibility that she could behave like that. Anything is possible, ofc. But there's literally no hint that she still suspects anything of the kind from the MC.

As for the 2nd paragraph, what part of "over time" do you not understand? I feel like your response was basically: "I NEED TO DISAGREE BECAUSE I NEED TO DISAGREE!" I find little to no coherence to your argument, TBH. Are you just posting knee-jerk reactions or something? Looking at your responses to others, you come across as pretty unreasonable. It feels like either someone agrees with you or you'll dismiss anything they say out of hand.

You missed three 0 at the end of 600. And yes any disconnection that don't happen with a portal is resulting in death irl

I found it interesting that Orion's magic was subdued in the Elven world. He wasn't able to teleport away to another world, nor able to activate his powers. However, after spending some time there and practising, he could finally control his powers. I wonder if, given enough time, he would also be able to teleport? Could that also extend to Earth?

I wonder what makes Earth and Hyril'ar so special from the rest of the Eternum realms? Will the skills eventually cross over and be able to be used everywhere?

Just played the update. A good update all in all, I would say. I started playing Eternum only after version 0.8 was released and this is the game that sparked my interest in Honey Select games. So, my first Eternum update is really special.

About the update: First of all, Nancy with those round glasses is so fkng sexy.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

The Hyrilar scenes were also really good. Especially the final scene with Calypso where she reveals her feelings that was so freaking awesome. I literally cried. Bring her back ASAP. I loved seeing this side of Calypso.

Luna’s scene was good but I would have liked it if she had replied with “I love you” and if we were able to see her face.

Finally, about the cliffhanger: I think it was actually a bit weak. I understand that it’s meant to make us fear for all the girls since they were playing Eternum at that time and 600,000 is not a small number at all. But at the same time, I don’t think any of the girls will die in this game. So yeah… waiting for the next update now.

Why is there no difference in image quality between the compressed version (2.9GB) and the original version (11.3GB)? Does anyone know what it compressed?
