about 95% or so of the time, it leads me in the correct direction, and if you don't like a percentage.. most of the time it works..

some arguing doesn't have to do with the game, but some does, like virgin status, background reasoning of a character, how the character's personality is.. these are definitely arguing points of the last few pages..
virgin status is meh, whatever.. the others have some real meaning in a game though.. so that's why i said that. and if they are vague.. people usually argue.
especially bored ones, argumentative types, and gender bias types.. i usually stay away from those games since people arguing over dumb stuff bothers me IRL already.

So you based your impression on the game by reading ~1.4‰ of the comments it has generated while ignoring the actual reviews? You know, the ones you access by clicking the "Reviews" tab at the top of this subforum?

So I just came back to this thread after like 4 months now. Does anybody know anything about the progress on the next chapter ?

[0.9] - Progress Report

Hello everyone!

It’s been quite a while since my last progress report, so I thought now would be a great time to share a quick update on how development is going!

As you already know if you read my previous posts, the start of version 0.9’s development was a bit rough. A lot happened all at once, and I wasn’t exactly operating at peak productivity for a few weeks. But as you probably know already too, things are going better now. I’m back to my usual pace, and although there’s still work to do to make up for that slow start, progress is moving steadily.

As you can see in the pinned post, we’re currently sitting at 44% complete (though keep in mind that number is just an estimate—it becomes more accurate as we get closer to 100%). So far, I’ve completed 741 renders and 25 animations, all fully coded and with their corresponding dialogue! (over 6,900 lines of code, to be precise).

Now, I know I’ve said this for the last three updates in a row… but once again, I really do expect this to be the biggest update yet. More renders, more dialogue, and more hours of content than ever before!

The first part of the update will take place in Hyril’ar, Calypso’s realm.

This section will be a major part of the update and a crucial arc in the overall story. While parts of it will be optional or may branch based on your choices, it will feature plenty of important moments. You’ll uncover hidden secrets, meet a lot of new side characters—some friendly, others not so much—and, of course, grow closer to our magical elven princess. I’ve also been working on some cool new mechanics that I can’t wait for you to experience! (Don’t worry, no overly complicated minigames.)

If the first sneak peeks will mostly feature our elven friends, fear not—0.9 will contain much more. All the girls will have screen time, with some of them seeing key developments in your relationship with them. The main plot will also keep advancing steadily toward the grand finale, which gets closer and closer every day (while being still far, no panic).

In total, v0.9 will include 4 new lewd scenes, featuring at least five different girls—each one fully animated and similar in length to previous scenes.

You will be busy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I hope we will meet Maat in the future updates i like her teasing and flirty personality plus i would like to know how her story will play further into the game and hopefully some kind of happy ending for her as well!

Also the music was removed because the royalty free site where Cari got the music sent a CnD saying he breached the revised ToS for using said music on pornographic content, so he had no choice but to oblige. He did not remove it due to copyright infringement, as he purchased that music for use in Eternum fair and square.

Music restoration isn't gonna remove stuff like the Andromeda music in 0.8 which Cari said was AI generated from the start...



...nor is it going to remove AI music that'll likely be used for the next updates moving forward (though that likely will be supplemented with some commissioned works), especially now that royalty free music publishers are starting to become hostile towards AVN devs using their music for adult-oriented work (which was why they sent the CnD to Cari and why he had to change the music to begin with). /shrugs

Shit... I wonder if there's a way to remove the AI stuff. I'd rather have no music than have ai music honestly.

Ah i misunderstood some stuff, 8.6 is when most of the music got removed, although apparently some 8.0 had some AI music slop in it? Damn. Guess i shouldnt look for a copy of 8.6.

For anyone who is curious I have pulled apart the Eternum files and created a spreadsheet of all the changed tracks (I'm fairly sure I found all of them as I used software to compare old files and new files and also cross referenced both versions of the game). I consolidated all my finding in a spreadsheet which has the original track name from the 0.8 version of the game, the tech name that the game files use for any of you techies who might want them and also a short description of where in the game the track can be found (SPOILERS BEWARE).
