i don't think MC is in a loop. if it were then at the scene where Orion gets shot in China Town Idriel said "She can't help! There are no reset button in here" and said goodbye thinking he will eventually die. ( i don't clearly remember what idriel exactly said)

With no update after 30 days, those expecting 0.9 to be released in November, including myself, will be disappointed. I remember the author saying he was confident of finishing 0.9 before the end of the year, so my guess would be 25.12.
I really hope 0.9 is worth the wait.

Now that we heard from cari in discord that this update is 50% bigger than the last one meaning aproximately 2500 renders, and IF this number is what the update will actually be, """IF""", looking at the last sneak peak left me worried when it said it was at 1350 renders. Unless Cari does an update on patreon soon, i'm starting to have second thoughts about the release date being this year.
