I’m sure there will come a point where Orion passes the “checkpoint", and Idriel will no longer have the power to bring him back.

Aside from "yeah, I planned 9, but changed it later" everything else is your speculation. Unless I'm very mistaken Calypso in earlier versions didn't even have any variables for relationship level tracking, her interest was introduced later, after the cult of Calybros was established. If she was planned as secret main LI from the start, it'd be there in at least some form. Instead her "interest" got introduced later. So unless Caribdis comes out and says "Yeah, I planned that from the get go and was hiding from codemonkeys", I'll stick to my version tyvm.

Explain to me then why the hell she's considered as part of the main harem by Caribdis as far back as 2022 (at this point game is only 3 updates in with Caly only having a prominent showing in the 3rd update) when she's supposed to be a "side girl who only got promoted as main girl coz of fan demand?"

I had similar problem in the past, in other game and only in full screen
Try "shift+g" and disable power saving(something like that)
