from what i can gather, he's paused his patreon since january and each month has been extending the pause. updating his last patreon post with news hes pausing yet again cos hes busy, real life stuff etc etc, up until june, maybe he just has gotten around to july yet, who knows.

Seen Patreon go after a few of the creators i've been following and usually I can understand why it happened but i'm drawing a blank on this one.

Perhaps, but the act of making monthly refunds without making a contribution could have been considered some form of fraud.
Certainly, if you don't post and don't renew, you should just lose your plan and declare a temporary suspension. Hopefully the freeze will be lifted.
