patience is a virtue ok but bro, can you tell us what percentage is ready? like %50 or %60
I was simultaneously working on two updates at once (which I won't do again lol because fuck that headache) so splitting time between the two. Then if you've been following my patreon or some of my posts here I got fucked over in my irl work because someone broke a contract that essentially had me covered financially for several months, thus leaving me to scramble for new clients to break even. This was coupled with a really, really bad period personal relationship wise where all the shit in my life hit the fan at the same time.
So I continued working on the game where I could but my irl work had to take precedence so I could pay bills and eat. Also I worked on the game where I could but a lot of the time I felt hopeless and drained. From around late December to now I've been working more on the game and recovering so I'm almost back to my usual mindset but some days it's pretty rough. However, my current release plan is to do a couple of smaller quick updates in quick succession. I currently estimate the first of them to be early February, but I don't like putting a specific timeline most of the time so people don't get their hopes up if I miss a deadline.
When I'm definitely gearing up for release I usually start plugging the game more and releasing teasers so people know its definitely on the way. I often underestimate how long implementation of all image sequences and testing take though, so again, I don't like putting exact dates on it. Keep in mind it takes a lot of time to build these renders/worlds since I have shifted the setting to something more piratey for the current chapter so I don't rely on the same assets I've been using. And past the pirate arc I have more varied settings in store too.
