He promised an update in March and it's almost June. But people are still huffing that copium.
he promised news soon. news, not the update, news. almost 3 months after he was supposed to release the update. this guy is as much of a scammer as icstor is.

A scammer is another word for fraudster, i.e., a person who derives some benefit from intentionally defrauding someone else. In this case, I can neither see any personal benefit timepants might be deriving from this, nor any intent to defraud anyone else on his part.

yea i dont think hes a scammer to me it just wouldnt make sense with his history. i just think idk maybe hes burnt out and believes he could push thru it or something. whatever it is this long with no update is still ridiculous, i get good things can take time but we are definitely past the point of that i think. a good update should not take 2 years to put out

yeah, I wouldn't compare him to icstor, that's not really fair. Huge difference between burnout/distraction/writer's block, etc, and then icstor-types where you are just actively pumping your audience for money and abandoning games left and right while you do.
It's frustrating that the update has taken so long, and bittersweet that it might never happen. But Timepants hasn't been hiding the ball about the slowdown or trying to really lean on it to generate more cash either.
I don't think we're gonna see this game finished, but I don't think it's because Timepants is malicious or anything.

Can't call it a sham or a waste of time. It's still well worth the time and has a lot of great content.

One thing I always gave timepants credit for despite the long wait for updates, was at least being active here and maybe a Patreon post a month or at least every other month. The long waits have been worth it for the content and quality in each of them, but kind of sucks timepants hasn't been around in a while. Maybe they are active in the Discord, but kind of makes me lose confidence as someone who actually supports this game.
