As you might know already, I mess around with DAZ 3D, so her weird looking eyes kinda spoil her visage for me.

Glad to see that the dev is willing to go back to his earlier project and to continue working on it after some time has gone by. Many will be pleased with his choice being Pineapple Express. But my first thought and hope is at the moment - maybe after that there is a chance he could do the same with Exploring the big apple? The endings very much allow for all sorts of continuations.

The dev just got done with EtBA, it wouldn't make sense to continue it so soon.
Besides, dimajio got burned out on EtBA, I doubt he wants to return to the project at ALL.
Pineapple Express wrapped up nicely (though, still leaving a lot on the table), which is why PE2 is happening - that, and being among the top-rated VNs from the dev surely helped.
Wouldn't be so soon - there would be two projects inbetween, which would give him enough distance. BTW - I wouldn't say PE wrapped up nicely, it felt quite abrupt in my eyes. What is more - with the pregnancy happened and shown (rather rushed as well), I find it not so easy to just go on. She is a young mother now.
But it's very probable that in the meantime he will have had a totally new idea for a big project after PE2...

IMO, Julia is the reason that PE took off; her look is very naturally attractive, along with high-quality textures being the key.

PE is my favourite by Dimajio, along with LiP.
Not sure how much I would like a continuation though, as the gradual stages from more innocent touching to full sex is part of what I like most about his games. If it starts at the end of PE1 with "full corruption" it would be lacking some essential ingredients for me.

IMO, Julia just started to tip her toes in the waters of the swinging lifestyle.
How about Julia marries Peter and the couple agrees it was just a crazy faze they were going through before they tied the knot. But after awhile... Julia starts to miss all the attention (and the wild sex), while Peter's new job becomes so demanding that he's rarely home, and even then, he's spent. So he sets up a secret video surveillance in their home to "keep an eye on things" just in case, while he's out of town. And he had admit to himself that he is missing the heady feeling that he had secretly watched Julia.

It could go the way of Pandora’s Box 2 and focus on the couple’s child as the new MC of corruption?
Or even what Big Rooster suggested, where Julia “calmed” down for a few years after the events of PE… but growing increasingly itchy about getting back into swinging/sharing/cheating. However, IIRC, Julia always canonically ends up pregnant at the end of PE1 - it would be a huge shame to me if that wasn’t somehow capitalized on (like having their adult daughter witnessing & becoming corrupted by their shenanigans)?

I agree that PE endings were abrupt (though not as much as EtBA’s was), but at least it still gave us some actual consequences for the actions of the characters. That’s why I said the game left a lot on the table that could still be used for a sequel - without mentioning the huge fanbase it has over most other games (even over LiP).
It really gives a totally different vibe due to the style-shift and that's what the dev wants. The interesting question is, how does this change in style change the impact and vibe of his story-telling (he apperently doesn't intend to change the fundamental topics).
For example how does the anime vibe impact the certain assertiveness all of the devs women have developed and shown towards the MC and which is closely connected to his interpretation of NTS? Because you get another type of woman with another vibe here. To me until now all of is girls seemed very feminine and womanly so to speak, not girlish in the narrow sense. That's not the case here. In comparison, both look like kids here.

That’s would be the experimental part, so it remains to be seen if it impacts the experience negatively or positively. I will say, overall, the characters look worse than HS2 models, so I would like to pick dimajio’s brain as to why he opted for this ‘version’ of anime styling.

Yeah I like that. Resets like that can work pretty well in porn games, like in SAO 2 that I'm playing at the moment.

Initially I decided not to make a gallery mod due to the lack of labels around the sex scenes. However, since the game is sectioned by days and his/her perspectives, I could compromise and make a gallery entry for each of the day-perspective that has sex scenes. So I made a gallery mod for the game and also included the images from the PC segments in the game.
