Too many characters spoil the broth. With PE it was similar with Jasmin (Cornell's sister). But Jasmin was removed from the rest of the story in time. Otherwise it would have been complicated.
I was just checking the opposite, but I'll answer in spoilers:This explains a lot. Though, it's still doesn't explain why Matthew gets a "happy ever after" with Emma instead of Martin.
And, if you're willing to check, what happens in the epilogue if Emma is cheating on Patrick with both of them? What scene plays out?
You're correct in general.Too many characters spoil the broth. With PE it was similar with Jasmin (Cornell's sister). But Jasmin was removed from the rest of the story in time. Otherwise it would have been complicated.
Yeah, that must be it then.I was just checking the opposite, but I'll answer in spoilers:

Well, regardless of what you feel about the actual content, I think we can certainly say "botched" endings, at least for the cheating path. I can't see any way that coding error wasn't picked up in testing - you skip out an entire section and head straight into the epilogue!Yeah, that must be it then.

Leads me back to the theory that this game would've had scuffed cheating endings regardless of how long the game lasted.
Remember how many people here in this very thread constantly complained about Martin? And now, surprise, we can see that the dev switched towards the prof. He shouldn't have listened.Absolutely. Everything was great until the professor part and then it got worse. Unfortunately, it became too much and mixed up. But he still does a good job. The best part is the introduction up to the middle![]()
Because that's obviously what the dev finds interesting - this little tension, little suspicion: is there something going on without him, without him declaring his official consent every small step of the road. The dev wants to create opportunities for doubt, for insecurity and jealousy even on the sharing path. He can't help it, I guess.they had this whole plan of spending the day together and teasing, then it went all out the window and fast forwarded to the final scene which had already started without him.
Oh really. I only started reading just after the Episode 6. Thank goodness I've had my own experience. Now I realize a few things. Why did they complain about Martin? His character was well developed in my eyes.Remember how many people here in this very thread constantly complained about Martin? And now, surprise, we can see that the dev switched towards the prof. I mean: just compare the intensity of the sex scenes between Martin and Emma with the ones between the prof and Emma. Not on the same level. This last update, too, is a case in point.
Found him too pushy, unlikable, too aggressive, repulsive, old too, maybe. Emma was seen as initially reserved and even fearful of Martin (which I take as being potentially intrigued). There are several discussions above, I don't want to mischaracterize the statements of others.Oh really. I only started reading just before the Episode 6. Thank goodness I've had my own experience. To be fair to dimajio, he clearly didn't have the luxury of time for testing this update. Monthly release schedule is a bitch.Well, regardless of what you feel about the actual content, I think we can certainly say "botched" endings, at least for the cheating path. Thing is, the professor would've been the second major "bull" for Emma if the game went further.Absolutely. Everything was great until the professor part and then it got worse. Unfortunately, it became too much and mixed up. But he still does a good job. The best part is the introduction up to the middle![]()
To be clear, I'm not looking for something where every step of the way mc needs to consent, it's the overall framing of the relationship. It's about them doing things for each other vs themselves - and like you said, it seems like he cant help himself leaking this into other forks.Because that's obviously what the dev finds interesting - this little tension, little suspicion: is there something going on without him, without him declaring his official consent every small step of the road. Yes, understood and agreed, and it's good when people stress this distinction betw cuck and sharing, and I'm sure the dev himself sees it only too clear. But he is authentic and wants to do what he is behind personally, I guess. Or maybe he finds it more challenging and interesting professionally and creatively (that is for example what I am thinking). To be clear, I'm not looking for something where every step of the way mc needs to consent, it's the overall framing of the relationship. Wow. I didn't know that. And that's why he added new characters. That's awesome. People should always go their own way and not allow themselves to be influenced.Found him too pushy, unlikable, too aggressive, repulsive, old too, maybe. To be clear, we don't know what influenced him and how he reads this thread of course. And that's why he added new characters.
