Tell the people who pay for this crap to give their money to real projects like VAM. I would never pay for this garbage. Tried the pirated version and deleted after 10 minutes.
yea right now the game is shite, but there are a lot of scenes at least
I don't think any of us speak Chinese
what? you gotta speak chinese for VAM?
is this dead ? can't be fucked doing a search
hasnt been updated in close to a year because the project team is trying to milk as much as possible by doing as little as possible, and they are pulling it off because all their patrons have the mental capacity of a special needs toddler

With the recent cancellation news not being taken well we are once again at anything not praising the game is locked, deleted or banned.

Also, funnily enough you were spot on about this.
Anyone else find it funny that the progress is being split into parts where first part is like 10 sentences and a short clip that probably he didn't make himself? I can imagine Helius after writing that "uff i worked so hard! Now i surely deserve a month of vacation!"

A week long "Business Trip" after the effort of recycling some old animations from Origins and cancelling half the game.

In part. The Paralogue section of the project (Campaign/story/gallery/lore/h-scenes interacting with gameplay) is all gone. What's left is Harem, some amount of combat drill maybe, and VR supposedly coming back.
It's a completely new game just like before... I will not be surprised if they change the name of the game again lol

What I really cannot understand in respect of current backers is that these devs said they were starting to develop the combat elements years ago, apparently they had it in pre-prod in April so presumably it was (is?) largely complete, yet not one peep has been shown of it. No videos, no technical or detailed write ups or even screenshots. How does that not immediately warrant rather worrying questions?

Same with the campaign. Here they are (or on the Paralogue version of it... ignoring that they were supposed working on it for Origins before that) in January 2019. Yet fast forward 2.5 years and all they've shown is of the "business simulation module" (what?) which is .

Yet after years of dev work they are just dropping it? I think this is moving a little bit beyond them perhaps being money hungry or unfocussed in their project management to the point where people should be seriously asking whether they are actually doing the work they say they are.

Paralogue -> Harem is probably the only name change, keeping fallen doll as the master title.

But yeah, he's mastered the art of keeping crowd funding running now that he's given up on being a game developer. 8+ years advertising, 6 years on patreon, at least 5 or so different games announced, nothing released. But still millions made.

As much as people hate on Subverse, at least they put something on Steam within 8 years and are slowly updating it without constantly restarting the project to waffle between different ideas, changing engines, looking into idiotic always-online DRM, etc.

Granted that's an incredibly low bar to cross.
In my memory, this seems to be the only porn game that made it to release. Even if not in the form in which players and patrons wanted to see it. And yes, it's amazing that it still receives updates. Compared to this "game", this is really important updates.

P.S.- Here's some more "fun" for this "game".

Getting an error with kirito mod. Something about "failed opening logs/core.txt for writing, no such file or directory".

One of my main personal problems with Subverse is that SFOW threw out too many promises at the beginning and then kept breaking them one after another, not mentioning that initially they said it'll be a full game on the release day. So I think they totally deserve the hate.
Aside from that it's a good project, yeah. But come on...
Yeah, that's fair, also the reason why I actively try to ignore hype. Can't be disappointed without expectations ;)

Wish I could say the same with Fallen Doll, but the project seemed so close to completion, with all that was left was just adding animations, that I thought it was safe to pay closer attention. Then this whole Harem mode and streaming nonsense happened.

They banned Laughing Man as well? Bold move, shame most of the supporters probably won't notice/understand the significance of such an act.

Of course they're not actually working on it. It was the same with Galatea. "Oh yeah, she's complete. Just working on new outfits and animations." Yet nothing but a few still renders for YEARS. Then they conveniently "reworked" her for Steam. As in saying a completely different looking character is now her. They never made Galatea, it was all smoke and mirrors. Same with the cancelled campaign. They've never showed off anything substantial these past years. The greatest scam in adult gaming.

I can't even blame Helius for being a scammer. What incentive, besides his own nonexistent conscience, does he even have to work on the game?

All he needs to do is write up some bullshit every month or two, pay some artist to drum up a few bullshots and he earns himself another 200.000 USD without breaking a sweat.

The real culprits here are the people that keep throwing money at him and people like him. I am subscribed to three people on Patreon, but these are guys that for years now have kept their work ethic, have always been communicative, have always released updates and content on schedule, and when they aren't going to meet the (self-imposed) deadline they are prompt to inform everyone.

If most people wasting money on this scam actually forced Helius to keep to his promises under threat of pulling their support he'd be behaving very different.

Instead, regardless of working or not the money keeps pouring in, so why should he "waste" time and effort?

I've seen some people in this thread that forgot they are paying for patreon.
Imagine being such a whale you forget where you are paying your own money.
Whales like those are the problem, they are dumb enough to be exploited and dev is smart enough to exploit them.
But I'm not complaining, I find it quite amusing watching them get scammed then they come here to complain about developer :ROFLMAO:

If you you can see he actually gets ~3k new subs every month. He has recently been losing slightly more than that but the churn rate is only slightly negative and it was actually slight positive in July, despite no content being added, for some reason. I hate to think how many of those new subs are straight up dropping enough for access to the closed beta too.

The issue with Patreon (and Steam to a lesser extent) is that the developer has complete control over their part of the ecosystem. So long as the game isn't for sale on Steam they can't get negative reviews, which they wouldn't be able to remove, and Helius can delete any comments on Patreon or Steam's game hub that they don't like.

Personally I think platforms like this should be held liable for non-delivery of services if they do not conduct any due diligence or auditing of problematic accounts, but crowdfunding legislation is still relatively nascent so it's not likely to change any time soon.
