You can always charge back services like Patreon, though for some reason with chargebacks people either don't seem to know what they are or think they're a bad word, even though a scummy seller on a marketplace that doesn't regulate itself is one of the main reasons charge backs exist.

how do the current scenes from OP v0.49 even work if I may ask?
only saw a few through gallery option but that's a minimal amount, almost like a demo. not possible to see anything from harem option and all stuff was basically buttons doing nothing there, is interface even working there at a basic level? had to close the game from task manager tbh, cause nothing seemed to work well enough after entering harem option.

Anyone knows why you can stop receiving news from post you already have set to watch?... Yup and apparently he does not like to be questioned about it i asked if the game would ever be realeased on steam EA or if they were going to keep milking patreon forever and they banned me from their forum Rofl must have been a touchy subject for them.
How did you do it? I tried modding Skyrim a few years ago, but found it annoying. What mods would I need to get those same results?
I believe they increased the limit to 4GB of VRAM or maybe to unlimited. idk... You can change that tho. The game use the Unreal Engine, just search how to change "r.Streaming.PoolSize" to something your graphics card can handle.

no it shouldn't just be for the rich, what he's saying is that there souldn't be a scenario where the customer risks all of his invested money, while the developer risks literaly nothing. The entrepreneur is supposed to be tho one that KNOWS if things will work out and handle things when shit hits the fan, not the customer.

Alright thanks. Sorry for the late reply. I wasn't so sure what to make of the instructions. The game's working fine on my computer. Its just that I found the hard way how underpowered my system is.

I am absolutely not sure that there are at least a few games on this site (maybe, with rare exceptions, games from illusion), the labor costs for which could be a million, or even half a million.

Studio Illusion generally specializes only in such games and feels fine.
Usually if you want to make games you'd start with smaller projects, if they're successful you can use the returns to attempt larger projects. You can also apply for investment from external parties who will expect a financial return on their investment, which may even include some forms of crowdfunding.
The issue comes when the "investors" are actually your customers and the return is simply the product that they are funding production of. It's not bad in principal but there is a significant disparity in bargaining power and access to information. Retail customers/investors are rarely provided the information they would require to conduct due diligence and in the event of a dispute there are no defined paths for arbitration and forcing an audit would likely necessitate an uphill legal battle. Probably an impossible battle in cases like this where the developer is based in China.
With tighter regulation I don't think it would be inherently bad, but it isn't tightly regulated. What it is is a veritable shit show. Things would be significantly improved if the likes of Patreon were required to conduct due diligence when establishing a business relationship with creators and conduct auditing of projects where appropriate.
