Doubt archiving would be helpful in this case with the game being online only. If the game updates and you aren't on the current version of the game you can't play anyway, so if the game is removed from Steam or they do any kind of censorship to comply with new rules, having an older version won't do you any good. If only there were people that asked Helius to avoid going the online only route with the game incase of an outlier situation like this, or just for longevity sake /s. Other platforms like Itch io are also being impacted by the Collective group and removing NSFW content, so there's not really much you can do. Honestly I hate how that Collective group is trying to dictate what kind of NSFW content paying adults can consume, but if this negatively impacts Helius and the people that supported the direction the game went, that's entirely on them imo, and deserved.

I mean, if they update the game - any client mismatch will be ignored and you'll not be able to boot it. Especially considering it has shitty Denuvo. So, archiving it would literally be for archival purposes only and, you'll not be able to do anything with the files. The only thing that it could be useful for, would be stripping out assets to mod into other titles.

because it is being sold on steam. They're exploiting some form of alpha access functionality to effectively platform themselves on Steam. You can play this only on Steam.

Just so you now, there are some paid players dropping here from time to time, but I highly doubt they'd be willing to share the files, given how hardcore white knight they are.

it's uncracked and protected by Denuvo, which means that if Helius want they can trace who uploaded the files by analyzing the part of encryption that has user id in it...Doubt they would care but if they do they can find you, that's why it's best to DM the link to the one who needs it, just to be safe.
