Most likely you could help with the issue I'm facing when trying to mod. So far I have tried to repak the cooked uexp and uasset files without providing the AES. The asset was from 0.8.8. I suppose the mesh did not change from 0.8.8 to the latest build.
Umodel could open the mod .pak, the mesh sits inside.
Yet the game fully ignores the modded .pak.
I'll try to repak using the AES but my hope is now quite low that it is going to work at all like that.
I started to doubt whether using custom paks was even possible.
No... damn,if you said like this then is no hope for us enjoy the game latest vers.... for free
There might be a misunderstanding or I was not clear enough. The pak was meant to be used by the latest steam build.
The UE4 version can be actually modded.

Ok, I think I got you... what I do has nothing to do with cracking the game. There are a few around who could get around denuvo protection but apparently it does not worth the effort for them.

i might send you my fork of repak (it supports the decryption for this game and repacking modded pak files into the format the game recognises)
I would certainly appreciate that, if you don't mind! Think it would be a great tool to have...

LMAO...nope. It's just been more investigators/characters added with a few tweaks to the "subjects" and more animations. Also more locations to see said animations, as well as a couple of "private session" locations...
Still heavily forced into "gacha" and "more-than-WoW" grind...
