Oh it absolutely doesn't come as a surprise and I don't consider it to inherently be a bad thing, as I said it's the same model employed by most really small devs on projects like this. The issue is that Helius pretends that he is running a larger operation which very clearly isn't true.Outsourcing is a common practice in game development, especially for art assets, so I don't get why that comes as a surprise to you. Some of the artists who contributed to this project are from South Korea and China where porn stuff are technically illegal so it's understandable that they do not want to be officially hired.
