idk if this is a scam or not, as i'm not into it since long enough. But the number of unsatisfied clients makes me want to think twice before investing for sure. I mean when you have so many people against you that means you messed somewhere very likely. At least on the commercial, or communication level

AAA animations and textures. lot of animations choices. you can even customize your sex scenes. didn't try the story mode yet, but tried the sandbox, and it's pretty impressive so far

Honestly you guys are probably better off just forgetting this game exists. For those of us that bought this game before it became a gacha fest, the game we originally supported is more than likely never coming. For those hoping this game will get cracked, I doubt any crackers will care enough about an obvious cash grab game that's niche and went out of the way to add Denuvo. I think Fallen Doll should serve as a good warning for supporting Patreon or in-development games like this, some developers just aren't trustworthy and will flip the script to shake your boots for as many coins they can get.

For those specifically looking for similar themes with aliens and whatnot, tough luck, but otherwise

can be a good, and arguably better, alternative to this with a variety of content if you're willing to spend an hour or two getting used to UI to navigate. Even has an F95 section already. If you guys are willing to shell $36 at this game but considering VaM, you could probably commission someone instead and get Fallen Doll girls ported to VaM. They already have Anya lol.

really. i didn't know. i didn't real the 800 pages. wild life is pretty cool. you have endless possibilities. possibility to import scenes. what are people complaining about (not trying to hijack that thread). I mean in its current state it has really a lot to offer. except maybe the story. but this is secondary in porn games

yea if that person really is a content creator they would not even look at FD. WL is in a different realm when it comes to what you can do as a content creator...

WL is not similar. It's not a gatcha, they didn't make false claims (well not as many), they constantly release new content for paying customers FOR FREE, they made an entire studio where you can do pretty much whatever you want, and they consistently listen to player feedback. Now they're even making good progress on the story. It's also not been in development for nearly as much time. They also massively improved the UI lately so that it's not ridiculously confusing. Their scenes never released on a broken state to my knowledge (bar salivarius which was promptly fixed AFAIK) and your PC doesn't melt when you play the game even though it looks 80% as good as FD.
Perhaps AdeptusSteve himself can chime in some more.

Not gonna talk about the type of game FD is and why they chose to handle development the way they did, they have their reasons. But what I can do is just add a bit of my personal experience with crowd-funded development. And that is that transparency goes a long way.
Releasing our weekly dev reports to the public where we summarize the progress in every department working on the game (Level, Programming, Character, Animations, Game Design) has helped a ton.
It helpst against misconceptions/false information spreading (accidental or deliberate) that can happen if a developer is too secretive. It also shows full development and determination by the team and it communicates a sense of movement towards the finish line which will be more and more apparent the closer we get thus hopefully turning up the steam on the hype train as we approach our 1.0 release.

Another great factor which kinda happened spontaneously was the whole introduction of the sandbox. While it may have divided parts of the community there is no arguing that it was a great help to keep player interest highly active while we spend our time with the story mode development. One thing that many people think is that because so many things for the sandbox come out that we arent working on the story mode. But the reality is that 90% of our dev team is working on the story mode. Its just that those things take much more time to show and many things they do finish end up making it into the before sandbox anyway. Like this coming build we finished our first big batch of story-mode asset props and will also add those to the sandbox which means over 500 new placeable objects for sandbox that are also meant to detail and progress the towns and other locations in the world in story mode.

yeah i diggued a bit the story mode, and frankly it's not bad, not bad at all. at least i discovered that you can f..k npcs that aren't into the sandbox scenes with their own scenes. which makes me think that it's something very promising. video games is an extremelly time consuming indiustry. so if you're not a machine like Ubi, or Rockstar it's pretty much obvious that as soon as you'll touch the open world category it'll take time to achieve something. unless of course you are making something simple like visual novels, or something simple (way of speaking) like niicri, or jsk stuff. I think it's more complicated for a company to find funds if they're into porn, than if they were into 'classic' games

The biggest issue with WL is that the developer has been making false promises for a long time(just like Helius). He's been claiming to be working on an open-world adult RPG for around 8 years now, yet all we have is essentially a "sandbox" where users mostly just manually place pre-made animations and watch them. In that sense, it's not much different from FD. But hey, at least it's not a gacha "game"...

people don't release what is it to make a video game (especially open world games). take Rockstar, they made billions with GTA. they have a wealthy, well oiled war machine. and it takes at least, i say at least more often it's much longer, something like 6 years to make a GTA (fro GTA 6 by memory it took non less than a decade). so what do you expect from a small studio. again i'm not gonna continue saying these things as people will start to say i'm supporting this, or that game. but most people don't realise what is it to make a video game. regarding WL and again i'm not gonna repeat myself, as i don't want to hijack the thread, the story mode is not bad at all. the world is huge. the textures, and lightning quite impressive. so yes you have few objects that remain untextured, but well.. but personally if they ask me 30, or 40 bucks for WL in its current state i go for it without hesitating (assuming it's loli free of course. I don't want to end up in jail)

You might not be supporting them financially, but you're defending the idea, and that idea is built on scamming people with promises they have absolutely no intention or capability of fulfilling. We, the players, know this. They, the scammers, know it too. Yet people still make excuses, comparing them to major studios like Rockstar to justify their actions. Why dance around the issue instead of confronting the reality behind all the "they’re just a small studio, so it's fine" narrative?
