My Windows defender complains about renpy-8.0.3-sdk only when installing Visual Studio Code. I think, as written above, it is a problem with renpy itself.

There is a option on Windows Defender that allows you to let windows run files it suspects of being trojan horses or other malicious content.

Its a false positive on many renpy downloads now from windows defender. You can always check

You must be registered to see the links

for any of your files to see if they are really infected and if they dont, disable the defender and turn it up again
