They're two separate games. You can play EP2 without having to play EP1

I have still no luck, I am trying the game with the eng file not sp.exe as sp.exe gives a error message in russian, am I using the right file?

You probably have two files in the assets/standalone_content folder. Delete one then try the sp.exe again
