how do i fix all the lag and stutter in animations? it was perfectly fine for the first few scenes and then every scene after that turned into a choppy mess

Try openning the animatiom from the game files in the movies folder, see it if will lag there too.

just saw this and tested it out, animations are perfectly fine in the movie folder but not in game. the animation stuttering seems to start at anna's scene after the fight at the club

UPD: I tried to convert one video from VP9 to VP8 - the lags disappeared.

Try downloading the compressed version of the game, the animation worked better for me there.

Yeah, the changelog doesn't say anything specific, and there's litterally nothing new in neither the in-game quest log nor the replay gallery. If this release is just the Keren rework then it's fine but the changelog implies there's more than that.
