So, I go through the parody tag and I see two types of games.
A. Random Sex Romp that may or may not be disrespectful to the source material.
B. A game that uses the setting and characters for a unique experience.
There's nothing wrong with the first type, but sometimes people want to be as close to the source material as possible rather than just Koikatsu models loosely connected together.
How to make it onto this list.
1. The game has to be a GAME. Animations are fine and all but this isn't that kind of list. It has to have some form of interactivity.
2. The game doesn't exist solely to dunk on the protagonists or the setting. There are admittedly well-developed games that have high production value but ultimately mock or disrespect the source material.
3. NTR games can exist on this list but only if they do not breach qualifier #2. I'll note if something does have NTR in it.
4. The game has to make some progress. No 0.1 proof of concepts.
5. Most crossover games are just excuses to throw koikatsu models or AI art at players. If there is a crossover, it has to be executed well.
Here is a curated list of games that take full advantage of their setting.
Note: I have more to say on some games than on others. Just because I give one game a paragraph and one game three sentences doesn't indicate quality. It simply reflects what I have to say about something. Sometimes something simple is what you want at the end of the day.
Attack on Titan
Attack on Survey Corps
Focused on the first season, Attack on Survey Corps has you in the role of another survivor of the initial attack. The primary focus is on characters not directly connected to Erin Yager and eventually working your way up to Mikasa. It's hand-drawn, the characters are likable and you can tell the creators care about the source material.
Avatar/Korra
Four Elements Trainer
Hands down the funniest written adult game in existence. The humor is meta as fuck, the characters are likable as fuck, and they're fuckable as fuck. In between fapping sessions, you will be bombarded with writing that will leave you in tears, and not just tears of laughter. The writing can be very genuine and romantic when it wants to be and despite the fact that it can cause some of the most serious tonal whiplashes you could think of, it's still very good at its delivery.
DanMachi
Legacy of Hestia
The second of Winterfire's well-known parody games, Legacy of Hestia is a wonderful portrayal of its source material following along the series' narrative with sexy elements added. The game is a rather competent dungeon crawler that is easy enough to understand that it has good pacing as you wait to recover for the next sex scene.
Danny Phantom
Amity Park
A weirdly faithful adaptation of the cartoon where you follow along through the plot of the TV series. The art is ALMOST on point which is a good thing because Butch Hartman liked squares way too much and all the girls in this are round in all the right places. It has the same sardonic humor of the TV show and doesn't veer off the plot too much so if you've wanted to revisit something from your childhood but also want to jerk off, this is a good place to start.
DC Comics
Something Unlimited
A trainer/management/brothel/harem game centered around Lex Luthor banging and/or pimping out popular, and some obscure, characters from Justice League Unlimited. The game has a huge cast of characters that are portrayed as accurately as you'd expect from this kind of game.
Something Unlimited: Themyscira
A visual novel spin-off of the above focused on Amazons.
Demon Slayer
(I'm not a fan of this franchise but I'll try to be fair)
Demon Charmer
A visual novel/RPG with a morality system and an alternate-history take. The story of the game presumes that Demon Slayer the anime/manga is loosely based on historical events. The protagonist is isakaied to the past with the aid of an Oni and ends up in Sanjiro's body briefly before the death of his family. He finds out that he has the blood of a demon and can influence people for better or worse. There is also a revelation that the Demon Slayer Order was historically female. It's in the intro so I'm not really spoiling anything. Depending on whether you're on the good or bad route, the protagonist uses his knowledge of the anime to manipulate events for personal gain or to avoid fatal outcomes for certain characters.
The presentation is a heavy focus with some of the set pieces being almost as beautiful as the anime. Certain boss battles have manipulated footage of the fighting games displaying an ultimate attack.
Training Slayer
While Demon Charmer has a linear narrative Training Slayer is a pure sandbox experience. You spend time with the gals and get their points up. Then they have sex with you. What little plot there is has you be a random person rescued from an Oni attack and recruited into the Slayer Corps immediately after. There is some progression with you needing to train and join the actual group as well as a money earning system and a fame system that can be used to purchase items and change some scenes. However, you can quickly do a few hang-out events and then build points by doing the next sexual activity as it boosts trust and lust.
Disney
Once a Porn a Time [Completed]
Once upon a time in the far-off future, there was a billionaire who turned an entire planet into a wholesome family theme park. He's dead now. You arrive to take over and turn it into a porn attraction with a perverted AI Tinkerbell giving you advice!
Park after Dark
You're given a magical pen and your job is to build the biggest and most successful Disney Park on the planet... while fucking the princesses after dark. Simple concept and premise, and lots of sexy fun if you have a thing for Disney chicks.
Princess Trainer
The OG of comedy trainer games. Ever wonder why so many of them have hoods and hats covering their eyes? This is the reason. The writing is funny, the art is sexy, and you will feel like you're on some kind of drug for the entire experience. It's an oldy but a goodie.
Fallout
Deep Vault 69
Honestly this game has no right to be as good as it is. I've seen a few attempts at a Fallout parody but they all usually fall flat or go strictly into the whacky pun territory. DV69 actually has characters that feel like they'd come from a Fallout game. Whacky 50s/60s era aesthetic. Gameplay that's fun to mess with in between messing with hot chicks, and there's actual variety with the girls you can chase. Easy recommendation.
Highschool DxD
Vox Gremory
The latest project by Winterfire, Vox Gremory is a loving tribute to a well-known harem manga. I'm not the most faithful of readers but like his other parody games it's as close to the source material as you'd want for this kind of game.
Kim Possible
Project: Possible
Project Possible is a dating sim/trainer dedicated to Kim Possible and it has no right being as good as it is. Five and a half girls to choose from in this pure wish-fulfillment game that happily doesn't dunk on Ron to let you have your fun!
Konosuba
Adventurer Trainer
An RPG dating sim with minor training elements. The game starts around the third season of the anime and in that time you have to pay off your debts. How do you do this?
1. Help rebuild the wall you are unjustly framed for.
2. Help the girls with errands that also help you get into their pants.
3. Go into a FULLY FLESHED OUT DUNGEON BATTLER WITH VISUAL, AUDIO, AND MECHANICAL PRESENTATION OF FUCKING OCTOPATH TRAVELER!
4. Learn of and solve mysteries around the city.
The writing is fantastic and comes off as if it was an official product.
KonoSuba - The Harem Adventures
Unlike Adventurer Trainer, this game has you starting off from the very beginning and even lets you select Kazuma's name. So the adventures of Mario Mario continue onwards!
However, things continue to change as the beginning of the game does not resemble the source material and is filled with referential humor. You play from a first-person perspective and have a second voice in your head.
There are several different side characters unique to the game. Aqua still cries at everything and Kazuma is obsessed with money and chicks.
Marvel Comics
The Null Hypothesis
Yeah I know, I'm biased. However, if you want an X-Men game that is filled with comic lore, respects the characters, and focuses on relationship building as much as it does the sex then you will be in for one hell of a treat! It's a dating sim with an overarching narrative so don't expect speed running into the girls' pants.
Rogue-Like: Evolution
Rogue-Like: Evolution is one of the website's mainstays. It started off as a sandbox game focused on the great cartoons from the early 2000s and has branched out into grabbing girls from the comics. This is a pure sandbox experience that is an amalgamation of dating sim/trainer/corruption/kitchen sink. Want to hang out with girls for a fun time? It has you. Want to speedrun your way into Rogue's panties? My time is 3 minutes and one in-game day! Have fun!
My Hero Academia
My Tuition Academia [Completed]
Play as Ochaco as she attempts to pay for her tuition to UA by any means necessary. ANY MEANS.
Do porn, do drugs, become a stripper, become a hooker, romance Izuku as you fuck every cast member behind his back! Realize you're a lesbian and become an LGBT icon with Momo! Become a professional hero breeder! Become an E-Girl! The sky is the limit when you got school tuition to pay!
Overlord
Overlord H [Completed]
Another Winterfire game. While not their first jump into parody games, it is the first that ended up becoming a certified banger. The love for the setting is undeniable and I highly recommend it. A note that this is the most "Visual Novel" of their games and does not have as much gameplay as the other games they've made.
Overwatch
Academy34
While technically no longer a parody as they have put in an effort for legally distinct characters... It's still very Overwatch in its designs and character interactions. It's set in an alternate universe where the older generation are professors training the younger generation in being heroes and it's pretty damn funny about it.
Note: Widowmaker has a boyfriend at the start of the game and the MC decides to watch. You have been warned.
Haremwatch
Now this is probably the earliest of builds when it comes to games on this list. Though I am including it here for the sheer amount of potential it has. It has big promises and if it can deliver, it may well be one of the best parody games on this website. It's a dating sim that is being made with the intent of you romancing or seducing all of the major Overwatch ladies.
RWBY
JPDE - Sonata of Fire
Did you find the direction Rooster Teeth took RWBY after the death of Monty disappointing? Did you find it upsetting that RWBY Chibi somehow was a better show than RWBY itself? Well, this is the game for you. JPDE takes just about every criticism the fandom has of RWBY and just... outright fixes it. Characters who randomly pivoted in characterization remain consistent. Characters that were forgotten or ignored have their stories continued. Good ideas that were dropped for some apparent reason are utilized properly. Plus it's a fantastic example of polyamory done right!
Please go play this game as I have traumatized its creator enough with my shenanigans.
JPDE2 - Adagio of Darkness
The sequel! For all intents and purposes, the first game is done, it just needs some of the MANY character-specific endings completed. In the meanwhile, the developers have begun work on its sequel which picks up from where it left off and doesn't waste every good idea brought up!
Scream
Cream [Completed]
An HTML game that follows the plot of Scream 1 but injects porn scenes with actors that share a resemblance to the actors in the film. It's a pretty straight forward parody and I'm sure you'll have a fun time.
Cream II [Completed]
The sequel. It is both better and worse. It's better because rather than being a straightforward adaptation with porn scenes in between, it's based off of an earlier draft of the Scream II script with character relationships being different than the final film. So it's creative in that regard.
The worse part is that in its attempt to be a "porn parody" the new dialogue can be hit or miss and it can miss hard. Ghost Face's added lines are genuinely funny. Though the rewrites of basically every other character is lacking at best and cringe at worst. Their best lines are when it's just quoted from the movie.
The worst of the worse is that unlike the first game, there wasn't as much of an effort put into having the actors in the porn scenes match the actors from the film. Which is only really an issue because the first game did a good job at doing that.
Ironically the Sequel not being as good as the original is meta as fuck and if you're a Scream fan, that's the exact reason you're going to play it.
Shin Megami Tensei
Persona H: The Midnight Channel
Set a few years after Persona 4, Persona H presents a brand new mystery to solve! Have fun with the original cast as well as some guests from other games visiting Inaba!
Shin Megami Tensei: Training the Demon
This game is a fun trainer/management/point-and-click visual novel. I must admit I am biased towards anything that lets me have access to Pixie. The art is pretty great so a big recommend.
Star Wars
Orange Trainer [Completed]
An Ashoka sex training game that has oddly likeable characterization. Don't get me wrong, the protagonist is a smuggler who imprisoned not one, but later in the game, two Jedi and slowly opens them to the idea of sex. Though the main character doesn't seem malicious about it. He's another Akabur inspired horndogs who finds the Star Forge from Knights of the Old Republic and gets an HK-47 unit as his sidekick... That is all I'm going to say on that because it's a genuinely interesting mystery narrative.
Also there's an odd character crossover from the Wild Star MMO. It's entertaining and not prominent enough to put in the crossover category.
Totally Spies
Paprika Trainer [Completed]
The show was already fetish fuel and somehow this game is classier. The game is set shortly after the girls have turned 18 and graduated, looking forward to college. All hell breaks loose with mind control and anarchy. It also has one of the funniest written protagonists I've ever seen and I am green with envy at that. Unlike the creator's previous venture, this game is animated for the most part.
Undertale
Under-Control
An Undertale/Deltarune game centered around Mind Control. It is a passion project that incorporates several things from the fandom and hides something beneath the surface. I've spoken to the dev at length and he's open to all kinds of criticism and actively works to make the experience more authentic.
Warhammer
Battle Sisters [Completed]
An older game that was made before we got spoiled with expecting all our 3D games to have animation. This game isn't too deep. It's a trainer set in 40K where you play as an abbot who has to discipline a highly skilled Battle Sister with an attitude problem. In between you get to have flings with other female members of the crew. It's a bit silly but you'll enjoy it if you don't take it 100% seriously.
Imperium Bureaucracy Hero
Okay this game makes me MAD with how good it is. Do you like 40K? Good. Do you like DISCO FUCKING ELYSIUM?! If so, good. This game approaches 40K from the perspective of a pencil pusher. Where in most games you're a Space Marine or some badass in general or like in Battle Sisters above you're someone high up in the religious order... in this game you're a bureaucrat. Higher than a peasant, but lower than a noble. It's a point and click adventure where you meet with various colorful characters, some of which you get to fuck, with some of the best narration I've seen in one of these games because it borrows the same method from one of the best CRPGs of all time. I say borrow and not plagiarize because it does its own thing with the structure and it works out pretty well. You definitely NEED to play this if you enjoy the world of 40K and aren't into it purely for the power armor fights.
Winx
Magixxx Conquest
An RPG Trainer game where you play as the bad guy corrupting our heroines into his lovers! ... Not the most original plot with these kinds of parodies but it is very entertaining and if you had a thing for the Winx girls growing up then this is the game for you.
Crossovers
Lesbian Academy
A crossover of SEVERAL properties, this game has you in the shoes of an OC named Ava at an all-girls college. Lesbian hijinks ensue. Video games, anime, cartoons, it's open season, and while such a thing sounds like it'd lead to a mess... it's surprisingly well-made. There's not a lot of well made lesbian games and this is a breath of fresh air.
MEMES
Yeah, I'm surprised this is a category too.
Dream Girlfriend: Doomer Girl [Completed]
A surprisingly cute romance visual novel between the Doomer Guy and the Doomer Girl. Seriously you will be surprised by its quality.
!THIS IS A WIP!
Just because something isn't here doesn't mean it's an offense against the game. I'll get around to it.
With that stated, PLEASE do give me recommendations. My time is limited and playing every game with the parody tag is very time-consuming! I am not a member of every fandom in existence so the assistance is appreciated!
