Too much aimless grinding. Needs more direction in objectives and the date system needs to be more clear on which paths or choices are the best.
The game doesn't disable rollback. The easy way to figure out date choices (although sometimes a girl will explicitly tell you what she likes during pre-date conversations) is to try one, see how she responds, and roll back to redo your choice if she isn't impressed. So if you try a location she doesn't like, roll back and try a different location. If you try to impress her (with muscle flexing, with philosophy, with poetry, etc.) and fail, you can try rolling back a little again. Note, however, that even when choosing something she likes, you have a % chance to fail; this doesn't mean you chose poorly.
IMO, while there is a lot of grind, it's not aimless at all. For example, you need to gather herbs (for a quest), which Miya says are in the forest. So you go to the forest and — probably get pummeled by kobolds or goblins. Since your combat sucks at the beginning of the game, you want standard RPG stuff (raise skills: Strength, Dexterity, Fight; buy equipment: armor and sword).
It's definitely grindy, but it's not aimless to me. Much of the progression / quests seem very intuitive to me, TBH. That said, there are some things that don't open up without certain prerequisites (actions, stats, etc.); and sometimes there is only a random chance to discover/meet with a potential lover. Because you're a "sexomancer", obviously stats that can impress (Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Charm) are useful.
