Thanks for keeping us updated man, i think the devs are doing a very poor job of organizing updates, they have their priorities all mixed up imo. They might be a little in over their head here
as far as I'm aware from what I've heard in their discord is that they're are a few cut scenes and voice lines that they're finishing up, honestly with the content drought we've gotten for the past few months they should of just split night 3 into 2 or 3 story mode updates
Alright, I wouldn't normally be asking this since I'm aware of the search function, but I really did try it and I didn't get the answer I was looking, so I'm sorry if I'm asking a question that's been answered already.
The bonus $5,000 you get for completing the secret ending in the xxxmas special in the Story Mode launcher, what does that do exactly? Because it wasn't added to my total in the special, that's for sure. I was under the impression it would be added to my money in Arcade Mode, but I'm looking at it right now and it says zero. Do I need to play at least one round of Arcade Mode before it gets added or something? Or am I just completely wrong, and the secret ending really is just... Nothing?
While we're on the subject, given that there are two downloads for the full game, what exactly are we meant to do with them? Do we keep the Story Mode and Arcade Mode files seperate, or do we merge them?

so the arcade and story mode are currently 2 different game files so you're not getting the $5,000 dollars isn't going to the current version of arcade mode.

If I'm not wrong, eventually once arcade mode, xmas mode, and story mode are 100% done (excluding mini updates and bugfixes) they will be combined into one game file right? I might just be stupid, because currently the only reason they are separate, is because its easier for the devs to finish updates for each mode and release them separately, once again, I might be 100% wrong, but that is what's gonna happen right?

I've always been worried this game would fall into the black hole of progress that most indie games with patreons end up falling into. Hope I'm wrong, but it feels like what's happening.
That's not fair at all. They may not have a consistent release schedule, but it was stated there should've been an update a while ago now. Meanwhile all the patrons are still paying for some reason. It's remain a buggy mess of a game for quite some time and I'm unsure why people continue their support.
The game's pretty much been an overly ambitious unorganized mess since launch. Updates break features, the game got split in half because of an unresolved bug, most updates land past the teased date, mystery project/christmas on hiatus, etc. The difference between fapnaf and so many other projects is that when they deliver they over deliver. The game oozes indie passion project and every update that I've played has been a pleasant surprise. Not to mention how much the quality has improved over time.
The development is a mess, the game is not (mostly). Wait is long, night 3 ought to be great.

i disagree, I'll give you a more dramatic example. Showing you a side by side comparison, since it seems really hard to understand why the patreons are better of with fatal fire studios.

I'll take "Long story short" as a counter example but for those who say "you can't take a VN as counter part." We could also take other games of other genres and it would still be the same result. this one just came to my mind since im actively watching it too.
So ~long story short~, it's basically 2~3 updates per year with very looong time gaps between them. Also keep in mind this game was published 6 years ago (5 Jun 2019). i could literally fry my PC right now and by the time i could afford one of the newest on the market i can expect a new update... maybe.

The time gaps are way shorter and their game is only 2 years old. On everage 1~2 month gaps are most common with a few exeptions. Sure, bugs are annoying and yes they are in there, but not every dev here is some kind of professional at coding. That's the indie corner for you, i'd say. Also i don't know where you guys see the inconsistency looking at the dates. You're complaining about bugs, but you still want your rushed update out every month on the dot from an indie dev? Seems a bit unrealistic to me. The ETAs they gave were a bit inconsistent hence why they don't really give them anymore, but that's about it. Honestly, they should just give a vague roadmap saying like Spring/summer/autum/winter update. To mark halloween was the same mistake they did in the past, because as we see now, everyone start to run their mouths about it again.
So yes, all things considered my money still might be better in their hands as the other one. plus i have other things as bonus alongside the shorter waiting time for updates. Other than that, 4de64r3esa64sa already said it really good, so i'll point my finger to his post now.

I'm doubting you even had a "point" to begin with. It's more a baseless claim if anything, but if that's your opinion then okay, stay with it. You have yours and i have mine and that's fine with me. I think that facts are speaking otherwise, that's all i wanted to say and so i did. I just took part in this discussion about milking and if it's worth to be a patron.
Seems like everyone has their own definition of milking nowadays if that's already milking for some people. But since you're so sure about this being milked: When would you say it isn't milking anymore? What DO or would you expect (to stop the milking) , since we're already on that topic?

The most common meter here is "time x content" / "time x update".
So if a new night was released every 2 months, people would stop complaining.
The whole problem will be that the project is relatively large and ambitious, but at the same time with a minimal number of developers, without a roadmap, unstable development, confusing and risky project. I don't agree with the milking, but I understand why people feel that way and don't trust this project.
this is why I feel like night 3 should've been split into 2 or 3 updates, sure people complained about night being split into 2 updates but hey at least we didn't have a 4 to 5 months of nothing, not to mention people are gonna bitch regardless best just to ignore them since 1 everyone here is pirating this game and 2 a lot of them are complaining like they're being promised a triple A game from a massive developer studio
