Yeah, it's a pretty outfit and it suits Monica very well. And while I can't stand Fred and his magic dick, for me the "greatness" of the Mason scene is different - it's the first scene in episode 4 (if not the whole game!) where my decent Monica can actually refuse what she's offered and walk away without the quest becoming a failure.That poll asking about our favourite outfit is missing my personal favourite. That's actually the problem imo. She never really learns a lesson but she is supposed to be smart. She never actually seems to enjoy the sex but is constantly going through the motions. The formula is getting very very stale, at least to me. I now have to force myself to play this VN instead of looking forward to it.Haha. You know that there is no real decent Monica that gets past ep1.
As someone who has supported this VN on Patreon, and love the early chapters the writing imo is suffering and convoluted. I look forward to new Claire/Melanie scenes but my interest in Monica has greatly gone down. It's still a good VN with Top notch graphics but the writing took a giant hit after Biff. Still pisses me off the early exit of Biff imo, I hate the options that were shown for Biff and Monica that never developed.
The last straw for me will probably be if they go forward with some nasty Tattoos on Melanie. These are just my critiques of the current state of the VN and I'm sure most people here with disagree but the magic of this VN is fading fast, hopefully some good writing can save it.
Just my opinion at the moment .
For me downgrading Shiny Hole scenes and very less content. Since dev said "this is not a happy slut simulator", Shiny Hole and stripting one of the few places Monica slowly seems to enjoy like Claire. At first she wasn't even go topless and at the last stage she starts dancing fully naked without mask and even dance more "daringly naughty". For me stripping and Shiny Hole is the best scenes of game.
And for not turning Monica into a happy slut thing, maybe this is a strategy to make game longer and more interesting. But when you look other major games in this site, happy slut route does not seem to bore people, in fact they become more interested in game.
Look into Anna Exciting Affection, Project Myriam, Office Wife, Downfall etc they all become totally happy slut and still people want more.

On one hand, that's a problem, but on the other hand - if our Monica had learn her lessons from what happened, the game would have been over long ago. As for my preferences, I wish we had a real choice from the very beginning what Monica should do - learn lessons by becoming smarter and more cunning, or keep stepping on the same rake, falling deeper and deeper into dependence on the people around her. Yes, I realise that such a separation would complicate the whole game, because the developer would have to create separate story branches for two different Monica's going down different paths. But that didn't happen (for one reason or another), so it's worth basing it on the current game reality.
However, all is not lost yet and if in the finale of episode 4 Monica emerges victorious, learns her life lessons and stops being a bitch, I'll be glad for such good ending (as I'll be glad for bad endings like sending her to the farm, which undoubtedly should be too).
As for Biff, on the contrary, I'm insanely glad I won't have to look at that nasty annoying face. I hope it's forever, but if there's suddenly a scene where the guard gives him a kick up the arse and Biff falls down the stairs, losing his teeth on the way, I'll even pay for it.
Not if, but when. I'm sure there will be such a scene because Victoria is a honest girl and wouldn't lie to Melanie about such things.

I'd like to hear this phrase from the dev for once, but so far he hasn't said anything like that. It was said by the players (agn25, myself, and maybe someone else I forgot to mention). But it was said based on what we've seen over the years, and it was consistent with the truth (imo). Then the scenes with Fred came up (ep3), and Monica's implausible reaction to his magic dick just couldn't be explained in terms of logic and Monica's character.
But leaving that "professional anomaly" out of the picture, otherwise, it's still the same Monica, even though one of the pillars of the game (Monica's dislike of sex) has been given a crack. And I hope the dev has enough grout to keep all the other pillars our game stands on from collapsing.
Well, that's already the problem of the people themselves who prefer to think with a different head, haha. Personally, I wouldn't want the completely unique character Monica to ever turn into a brainless nympho slut. Because then all the mysterious magic of Fashion Business would definitely evaporate.

I agree mostly, I never liked Biff but I liked some of the options they gave us for him, at the office desk scenes. I feel they wrote themselves into a corner with to many story threads, they almost seem like minor stories that are trying to be part of one big story, the Betty Storyline, the investors, the escort agency, the magazine, even Victoria only seem loosely connected anymore. (I forgot about the Slums and the basement dungeon)
I'm a fan of corruption games but this seems to have gone way pass corruption , I would love to see her at the farm but I also want a good path...not just getting her stuff back but also learning something... Has she even tried to help/protect Melanie from Victoria? She just seems completely cold and soulless, which can only take you so far.
I think we are all kinda on the same page, with hopes for some improved writing and multiple varied endings for the finale.

If you choose certain options and be decent to Melanie in ep1 Monica can have a type of alliance with Melanie against Victoria. Monica can take some of the heat off Melanie in several scenes all the way up to the wedding photoshoot. But if your Monica is a bitch she will selfishly help Victoria push Melanie into the harder scenarios. A lot of other scenarios are like this throughout the rest of the game as well and can play quite differently if Monica was decent or bitchy to certain characters.
I don't think the writing is any worse than it has ever been. In fact I would say it is very consistent. Which I think, like Monica's consistency, is a big positive for the game. The corruption is as it has been since ep1. Monica not liking what is happening around or too her but evermore normalising her new life and becoming more accustomed to taking part in what she is doing. Monica has changed into a more jaded character, she has done and made more extreme acts and decisions as her desperation increases (Always thought the corruption meter should have been called a desperation meter) for money and power, instead of becoming the proverbial "happy slut". People can go and play Anna Exciting Affection or games like it if that is what they want but lets keep Monica who she is, otherwise the uniqueness of the game would disappear.
You are not wrong on some of the paths being very loosely connected. That is intentional though. The game is set up for the player too choose where Monica lives or what job she decides to take. We playing update to update just play every scene as presented not worrying what makes sense. You would think that someone in Monica's position would have one job and one home. Not like can happen in the game where she is living with Ralph's family while paying for a slum apartment and living with Julia. She can even eventually stay at the hostel for working for Mommy or sleep in the park if she has nowhere to stay.
She also can have four money earning jobs going at the same time. VIP, Shiny Hole, working on the streets in the slums and Mrs Whites photoshoots. You can see the issues DM would have in connecting all these homes and jobs in one linear story.
The paths that are connected like the office, Steve, VIP, Mrs White and even Victoria all effect each other throughout the game although Victoria's has seemed disconnected at times. The Shiny hole, apartment dates and Mommy's jobs effect each other at times as well. It is a bit of a juggle if you do all these paths in one play through.
I think the game is going pretty well at the moment. I hope ep4 is just warming up.

DM has never out right said the game isn't a "happy slut simulator", he has however changed what was initially a "slut meter" to a "whore meter" as I'm sure you remember. I think that says it all without actually needing to say it. But I will, Monica has become a whore and has never been a slut.
