It's also needed to have played through the VIP scenes in ep4 up to when Tiffany is working there for the v5 Shiny Hole scenes to be available, not to just have the VIP path open at the start of ep4.

It is weird now that to continue any Shiny Hole content in ep4 Monica needs to be working both of the prostitution jobs. As you said she was able to become the manager at the end of ep3 without having to have anything to do with prostitution.

It's not that simple... :unsure: If we take my Monica's journey (decent playthrough), here's what it looks like in the context of all the episodes.

then after Monica's little monologue is the scene of her first introduction to prostitutes. (yes, I remember about the grey mouse). So we have Ep4v1 and the opportunity to join the Work fom Mommy prostitutes for the first time! However, even without ever working for this pimp or even approaching or interacting with her, such a Monica can still get a Glory Hole scene in v2. Below I'll explain why this is possible.

To summarize the above.

In my opinion, it would be more correct if the huge "Slum Prostitution" path and the equally huge "Shinу Hole" path were not hardwired to each other. Plus, it goes against the game's concept, which states that most paths are independent of each other and the player can only choose what they like.

Obviously this doesn't always work when it comes to the main Office/Photoshoot storyline, but that's where the "rules have their own rules"...

But when two side and simultaneously gigantic storylines (Shiny Hole and Slum Prostitution) become tied to each other, the variation and ability to abandon one (Prostitution) without sacrificing the other (Shiny Hole) is lost, and thus a certain freedom of choice is lost, which is not a good thing. (imo)

That is interesting. I don't have any saves up to ep4 where Monica refused the blowjob from the stranger. My testing was done by starting a new game in ep4 and answering the questions briefly. You have a choice of "Monica works at Mommy's whore spot" or "Monica didn't bother with the streets at all". Do you know what action does the game consider starting the falling path? Is simply showing your body, while fully clothed to one of the slum dwellers once, enough to allow Monica to suddenly decide to work on the streets in ep4? Or even worse is advertising the kebabs enough?

So I can see someone who has played through the game with actual saves imported into ep4 can start the mommy prostitution in ep4 even if you chose to turn down the strangers blowjob offer. And as long as you had Monica show off her body in the ally at least once, or whatever the game considers has started the falling path, this will be possible. However if you start a new playthrough at ep4 and choose "Monica didn't bother with the streets at all" the ep4 Shiny Hole content will be locked. At least as of ep4v5.

That's right. As the shiny hole scenes are in ep4 it makes sense that Monica needed to know the red head for that glory hole scene to happen. The v5 scene also logically needs Monica to be in charge of the VIP girls. Also the way v5 shiny hole conversations go the glory hole scene needed to happen before that scene. It is all logical and makes perfect sense, no problems at all.
Why I called ep4 shiny hole content weird is because suddenly Monica cannot progress this path unless she is working two jobs as a prostitute when before ep4, Monica could become the Shiny Hole Manager and totally ignore those Jobs. This doesn't affect any of my Monica's because they are all hard working girls;) but I know some players Monica's are above this type of work.:sleep: So your decent Monica as of now is still sitting in the Shiny hole ordering Ashley around and just standing behind the bar and maybe stealing the odd tip. Obviously ep4 is far from finished so some sort of "decent Monica" content may come in the future for the Shiny Hole.

So far my other Monica (less decent) has enjoyed the v5 content immensely and wants more.:love: If all the scenes in the FB become as epic as ShinyHole (v5) , this game should definitely be nominated for a Porn Oscar, haha..:p

but for serious - 9 week (almost all updates last time had 9 week period) will be at 25 March. Other games migrated to new renpy again (8.3) so i won`t wait 4.06 until 25 or 1 (9-10 weeks) cuz FB can migrate too. Also Ep2 new version can be in work in this period too.
