yeah I was using the wrong torrent client, just assumed you'd be able to use the current version of utorrent.

Not all torrent apps are supported, if unsupported it will not connect
The only supported version of utorrent is 2.2.1, and even then is questionable for how long

Go to the torrent comment, look for FAQ. It has listed torrent clients that work.
