I'd say dev know, but consciously don't do it. If you look at it from a commercial POV - the game still sells well, the recipe is tried and time-tested... As programmers in my country say, "if something works well, it's better not to touch it" (i.e. don't invent anything new, he-he). And this proverb has its own meaning.I hope they will. But by looking at ep1-4, i see they not going to, or don't know how.
Maybe that's why no one wants to escalate the plot and reveal what's going on behind Monica's back. I like this game, and Monica as a character is completely unique but I don't think this is the kind of game where you have to look for deep meanings, some hints, references between the lines, etc. stuff.
