I was responding to the poster who wanted a prequel with Monica in it. I agree that there are quite a few prequels that could be interesting. Victoria and Julia would be my least favorite as I can't really stand the characters. But Philip, maybe even Steve and how he got to have a VIP escort service. Melanie could also be interesting and popular. She could have had to do some questionable things to get a top model. We already know that she had to go through Monica's humiliating interview, in the style she had at the start.
But for me, if it takes one-two more years to finish the story I think I will be ok with the amount of content in this universe. Unless a Farm sequel occurs I would be interested to see the story of a completely new and interesting female character. maybe in the same country with questionable laws and corrupt people in power that could place that female character in problematic situations.
For me a current problem with the game, that has nothing to do with the storyline is that at the start it was a grindfest sandbox style that had a lot of avenues (most of which were not really continued - I look at you big debt to Perry or whatever her name is) and now it's just a go to a certain place to activate event and that's it, could easily be a choice based VN game.
I hope whatever new game DM will develop will have a certain style and stick to it.

Don't attribute to me wishes I didn't have. I suggested that it might have been, referring to 2 hypothetical spin-offs based on our game, but I was automatically written off as a "fan of a spin-off about a young Monica starting her career". No, that's not true, I'm not a fan of that. As long as any possible sequel of Fashion Business (in the form of a spin-off or a full-length sequel) with the Monica Buckfett character is made by DecentMonkey, I will be interested in that game. (As long as it's not a vanilla game). And no, I don't think DM will decide to create a spin-off about a young and naive Monica on her way to her future success.

Yes, I said that, and it's true. I also clarified in a previous post that there will be no spin-off about young Monica, so everything I said still stands.( I'm on board as long as it's not a vanilla game and as long as the creator is DM). What else don't you understand?

This will be my last reply on this as to not spam the topic with our discussion.
For me everything is very clear, I think you are the one that are confused.
At the moment of me posting the first time, from your post, as I quoted above, you mentioned a prequel (spin-off) with a young Monica and you also stated that you wanted/needed for Monica to be in the game. So, I didn't attribute to you wishes you didn't have, you expressed them quite clearly in that post. That's what me, quoting your post meant.
The fact that you later on changed your mind and stated something else is clear but was not in discussion. Your "everything I said still stands" doesn't make sense as your two posts are in contraction with one another so they both can't "stand".

Anyways, I don't think DM will make another game in the same world / with Monica in it so everything we talk about is just talk.

Well, there are quite a few friends of the developer here, even not mentioning those who work for him, such as the translators. They probably told Decent Monkey that the code was shared, and he changed it.
Don't worry, the genie is already out of the bottle. The game should be here pretty soon.
