I appreciate your reply, though I don't quite understand its practical consequence for episode 3. I figured by now that the Revenge path is just a short (but exciting) dead end. Thus I only worry whether I miss any content if I choose Marcus' path instead of the main plot at the start. Attached is the event quest screen after finishing the initial quest of marcus' path. Seems like it leads back to the main path, so no content is missed, right?

That is correct, you lose no content playing the Marcus event first in episode 3. That actually is the only way to play the Marcus event with it being kind of integrated with the main events in ep 3. If you go straight into the main quest in ep3 you lose the Marcus content. You would need to start a new ep 3 playthrough and choose Marcus's event to see it.

I like your description of the revenge quest, if you removed "but exciting" it would be spot on.

Yes, I don't know about you but i really can't say that the Marcus' story is well--intergrated with main plot; at least in this current version(i haven't played since V8) I hope monkey can think of a way to make marcus plot more "canon" not just a side-quest or even like a parallel universe

The game is good and brings a lot of money to the DM. But he got carried away with secondary lines and fillers (office, etc.).
He also has stories at different stages of development. Monica is already involved in DP, and in stroyline with the Shiny Hole, she, Ashley, Claire are still far from it.
On the storyline with the bar, you can figure out how many more updates await us.
Claire's continued exploration of her sexuality, customer service Monica and Ashley, new private room, glory hole. And not every update will have a bar line. So the game will be developed for at least another 2 years, will there be enough content for other storylines or will there be even more fillers?

The Marcus quest works fine along side the other main quests. It was always from the first an optional quest where Monica could choose to take Melanie's advice. Either attempt to get on the front foot and deal with him or just keep hiding and hope another solution will present itself.

It's not unlike the falling path or the shiny hole that Monica can avoid as well. The only reason it has it's own starting point in ep3 is because he left the event half done when he decided to split ep2. It is designed to be played with the other events happening, unlike the revenge quest that is as of now, independent from the other events.

It's funny because back in the day the complaints would be to much grind and not enough sex. Now it seems it's to much sex.

To be fair no one has complained about the lack of grind.

I remember grinding for this game before. But my laptop got broke before the pandemic starts and i lost my savefiles.

I got my new laptop long time ago now but i don't have the energy to Grind again from episode 1 until now . Last time i remember playing was Episode 2 version 11? hahah

Now i want to play it again so bad but i dont know how to start again.

Okay I got stuck! Knew it wouldn't take long. I've just done the casting with Melanie and she's disappeared to talk to Marcus, can't do anymore photoshoots because they're all greyed out apart from the first 4. Biffs progress won't move so I'm going around in circles.
If anyone can shed some light on this I'd be very grateful...

Thanks guys! I checked the walkthrough, found no clue for my problem but loaded an old save and replayed the first college scene. After experimenting a bit I found that Monica has to sleep in the house (not in the apartment) to trigger the continuation of Betty's story...

There is one more story I missed. When working in the streets I refused to give the Stranger a bj because of a warning that this would shut off serving more clients. Now I finished the streets part but the bj task is still open and the Stranger is not suggesting it anymore. Is there a way I can access the Perry/Hostel story now?

That's weird, I did the same thing but that options remained accessible. Perhaps you accidentally chose it, then aborted it and then it disappeared or something. I don't think it has any relevance for episode 3 so what you could do is load the old save where that option is still available, play that path from there and then go back to your recent save.
(By the way, also make sure to visit the shiny hole bar during night and day, there is a whole other story path available in the end game, it is triggered by a scene with the bar owner putting Monica's poster at the wall.)

you could have avoided that if you had read the FAQ 1.4.11
now you must read 1.4.15

They have not, I slowed down on the House storyline because I didn't wants to miss any of the Shiny Hole stuff. And I'm not sure if it's possible to miss out on some quests if I progress one of the quests too far.
