I still practice western kickboxing at my age, while all my peers dropped out of the dojo, I can say I still feel pride in my trade after 21 years of giving and taking hard knocks.

I was a karate guy years ago and gave it up…I didn’t like the hard knocks as much. Played rugby instead hahaha

Rugby is harsher on the body than old school kickboxing, at least the regulated kind. I started as a brawler in high school, was suspended a couple times, then my coach introduced me to a kickboxing dojo in my home town, and I was hooked for life.
