I mean... the game is almost 6 years old?
My old system, fairly dated and nor where near the level of my current system, had no issues running this. That was with a cheap GTX 10 series card, and old i5, no ssd, and 16gig of ram. Beyond this, you'd have to run it yourself to see if your rig turns into a BattleTech Treb-bucket (for those without context, those run notoriously hot) or not.

Does anyone else think as well that the guards in the first gif of the OP, that they kinda look like the guards of Skingrad from Oblivion? I dunno, the moment I saw that gif, I heard a voice in my head scream: "Stop right there, you criminal scum!" xD

the person working on this game seems to be have updating the game quite consistently, one man dev?, one long drag of development of the game( started around 2019), and the actual author is posting the game here.

Its not horrible, but its not great either. On lower than epic settings it does alright on my PC which I built in early 2017 and my CPU is slightly failing. However, I did notice a memory leak I believe in this particular build. FPS slowly drops until its just garbage and you have to save, shut game down then start it up again and reload last save. Works well for a time then cycle continues (especially in the swamp).
I don't know much about Unity, but with UE there isn't a lot devs can do about optimization. There is some, yes, but not nearly as much as people expect. More experienced devs can do more, but not by a large margin. I hear this from every dev who will talk about it. From what I can tell, UE is really going for realism in graphics more and more every day which is taxing for old potatoes like mine. At least they make it so that you can play it just not on high settings.
