I reenabled use of all kinks and breast size. I also made a max stat version. (You'd have to press continue on the second language screen to put this into effect. The game may lag a bit as it processes all the stat changes, but then it should be fine.) Also, if you get the scene where you are to learn another language, the only one you can learn is Arabic on the cheat version, as the other options arent options unless you dont know them.

I simply removed the doesnt know requirement for Arabic, so you could continue in the story.

Also, I'm no expert, I just know some things I've picked up from editing stats in other games.

To make it work, you must have the offline version, and simply plop it into your game folder.

Also if you like the devs work, please support them on patreon.

Enjoy.

Edit:
Files updated. With help of a friend, we got the back button feature to work. (Use the same link to get the updated file)

So Crushstation - I noticed in the life path that the protagonist can have her stepfather as a lover? That seems like maybe kind of a detail that should get a bit more attention?

What I'm trying to say is that, if the game hasn't made much story/content progress in about a year because of tweaking of "already existing systems" (the sex engine was a working system until it wasn't, just like most systems. It happens all the time, no worries), once your team gets into the meat of the game, more issues will appear, and content will arguably slow down even further.
This right here. I was super invested in the game as a concept and supported for many months. But the development became a slog of noodling around with the user/CC interface which has gone on for over a year. If the creator put 1/10th of the writing into the game that he puts into his updates, I'd still be supporting today.

The story content was what made the game interesting. It saddens me that the creator seems to not have any interest in adding to that story content until some fateful day when the UI is perfected (which looks likely to never happen since the devs keep complicating it while simultaneously tweaking it).

Adding backstory was a good idea and could've bridged this gap, but those vignettes take all of 10 minutes to read in their entirety. It's just... thin. Like others, I fear writer's block is an issue here and it's a shame.

I don't get to keep it all (and $72k is actually less than I was earning in my last job anyway). I love the game, though, so I'm very grateful to the literally thousands of patrons who've made it possible to leave my job and work on the game full time.

About incentive to keep working: I'm actually super stressed about slow productivity, and I'm always worried that I'm not working hard enough (or, lately, maybe just not talented enough) to justify the patronage. (Not fishing for sympathy, here, just trying to be candid.)
Please do not bring up the earning part. SplendidOstrich did that and it was not that great. Didn't do much in terms of updating, had patrons submit fan content for awhile. When people mentioned nothing was done, he brought up that he was making less than he was making at his job so therefore we had to be grateful. Never bring that up as it comes off as talking down to others, especially if other creators have used it before to tell others to shut up about any criticism regardless of whether or not they had any merit.

Exactly how I feel. I had supported crushstation as an Operator for a long time but decided to stop a few months ago simply because I felt like the "progress" was on trivial things for too long. The main story barely progressed in all of 2019. I still like the premise and hope I eat my words in the future, but as things stand, I feel that a solid, playable game won't come out any time soon.

Those little quirky details like tan lines and drunkenness UI are cool, but the fact that they are prioritized over story progression is disappointing.

Yeah, it's been like a year of just working on the introduction, without any progression towards the main gameplay loop.

It's a great prologue, but it's still just the prologue. If the game promises a loop of stripping and prostitution with no time limit, then the prolougue makes up an ever decreasing amount of content within each play through. Adding more polish is still just making the least important potion of the game prettier.

It's a shame. This is such a good game. Crushty has a lot of supporters, but doesn't have the content to show for it. The story never advances past Dubai. The game is slowly being tweaked to death, which is going to cause a lot of discontent among supporters eventually. They're going to start wondering what they're paying for, and I for one can't blame them. If I see one more finely tweaked version with no story advancement, I'm done.

Hello girls and guys.. I have to tell you first that I ADORE how this game is written, it makes me really crazy. But, come on, the last release was in the early days of october.. now it's february!! 5 months for nothing.. checking every day if there was an update or not.. I remember that I embraced the possibility to become operator+ to support the developer, but for my luck I didn't.. 50 dollars saved. I don't want to argue about the fact that a good game needs time to be performed, but the developer gains 6000 dollars for month! You MUST give an outcome for this HUGE amount of money!
So 35.000 dollars until now for.. what?!
I'm really so disappointed.

Not a future-tense thing. Already happening at the fringes (this board, including myself, gives several examples). The question is how long it takes the bulk to stop paying for something they're not getting. Remember MoviePass? The business model literally relied on people paying for something they didn't use. This is starting to feel similar. And we all know how that ended for MoviePass.

Hey guys! Checking in here isn't always great for my morale, but I appreciate you guys giving your honest opinions. It's important for me to hear them and to take them into consideration.

A patron asked me to publish a reflection that I think is relevant to this discussion, so I'm going to paste it here. Feedback welcome.

WORKING ON THE FOUNDATIONS
I think a lot of patrons would like a reflection on how the things you're designing right now will impact the content of tomorrow. Just my 2c, keep up the nice work ;)

Okay, this is a great idea! Let me start by saying that I believe that the sex scenes are the least sexy part of Female Agent. Let us count the ways they suck:
  • All partners are totally interchangeable – there's no difference between the agent fucking the man of her dreams or the ugliest guy from Cathouse
  • All sex moves always "work" – kissing the agent always turns her on, even if she's kissing Jabba the Hutt
  • Total focus on the physical specifics in the scene – He puts his left hand on your right breast. You put your right hand on his left shoulder...
  • Zero focus on the emotional/psychological/character specifics of the scene – the sexiest stuff is left out
The result is that sex scenes are anti-climactic, just something you click through to get back to the story. I think they could be better.

What is the point of Bangkok?
Bangkok exists for you to take your lovingly crafted agent and throw her into new and exciting sexual scenarios every time you play.
The main quest – in precise opposition to the main quests of most CRPG stories – is indefinite and open ended. Although there will be "spy stuff" for your agent to do from time to time, her mission is basically: get a job as a stripper/whore and just live her life until the target happens to show up.
What kinds of sex scenes do I want to write in Bangkok? Here are some examples:
  • Audition sex. Who does your agent have to suck or fuck to get the job in the first place?
  • Shift sex. Seducing tourists at the Hard Cock Cafe, and servicing them in the back rooms.
  • Bar BJs. A few hundred baht gets the agent on her knees right there at his barstool.
  • Floorshows. The entertainment in the Hard Cock Cafe isn't limited to stripping and pole dancing. Your agent's going to find her name on the rota for dildo shows, girl/girl shows, BDSM shows, ladyboy shows, oil wrestling shows, etc...
  • VIP suite. Here's where your agent performs for visiting high rollers.
  • 49ers. The real VIPs. Access to Hard Cock Cafe girls, in and out of the club, is a perk of being a member of the Red Wa.
  • Corrupt cops. And of the Civil Police.
  • Outcalls. Your agent can earn extra baht by making herself available for escort work. She'll visit businessmen in hotel rooms, entertain stag groups, party with playboys on yachts out in the Gulf of Thailand, service the labour force at a Red Wa meth lab hidden in the jungle...
Etc, etc, etc. And this is just the stuff that her work will throw at her; I've got dozens of ideas for sexy side quests (from passionate holiday flings, to "seduce the target" spy missions, to decadent half moon beach parties, to quest chains like helping an NPC set up a porn studio).

Bangkok should be a porno playground, with new surprises for your agent every time a new version gets released. (Note that there'll also be non-sexy scenes for pacing, avatar maintenance, and character/story development. Some of these scenes will unlock opportunities for further sex scenes, e.g. training at the Muay Thai camp can lead to your agent getting gigs as a ring girl, with opportunities to party with fighters, promoters and VIPs.)

What's holding this up?
The existing sex engine just can't cope with shit like this. Imagine just getting your agent to her audition scene for the Hard Cock Cafe. Picture the build-up to that crucial scene. And then imagine You put your right hand on his left hip. He touches your left buttock. You look at him with your blue eyes. He touches your right buttock.

What improvements are needed?
I wrote the existing Sex Engine myself, when I was way worse at coding. And I am shit at coding now. These are the features needed by a Bangkok-Ready Sex Engine:
  • A way to mechanically simulate each character's mental and physical capabilities, and produce weighted, randomised outcomes of their actions. Status: Delivered by the SURPS ruleset
  • A way to know your agent's backstory – is she slutty? Tough? Intellectual? A jaded field agent? A rookie desk analyst? – so the sex scenes can deliver individualised character moments (e.g. being fucked over a desk is hotter when it reminds your agent of her desk back in Langley). Status: Delivered by the Lifepath
  • A way to mechanically simulate blow jobs, anal sex, vaginal sex, arousal, attraction, etc. Status:Delivered by the SURPS Sex Rules
  • Finally: a way to combine all this into sex scenes that are actually sexy, interactive and fun to play. Status: Working on it
So, the point of the scene we're focused on now isn't just the sex scene itself. The bigger picture is that we're working on the formula for writing sex scenes in Bangkok.

No more clicking through generic descriptions of body parts meeting body parts – instead imagine a series of sexy scenarios, individualised for your unique character. That's what I want Bangkok to be, and we can do it – but we need to finish laying the foundations first.

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.

Thanks LEET. I didn't mean to come across like that; I'm humbled by patron support, past and present, it blows my mind that people like my little story enough to make it possible for me to quit my job, and I don't regret that decision one bit.

I just want to be candid with everyone about my motivations. The money is awesome and I couldn't develop the game without it, but I'm not doing it for the money. I just wanna make the game in my head.

If you edit only a bit, you run into the same problems I described. If you edit heavily, it's like writing the scene by yourself.

You can't avoid these contraditions. If you invest time in writing a framework for others to participate and you want to avoid the issues I mentioned by being an editor, you have just wasted your time because eventually, you have to rewrite every scene in your own words. For getting ideas from the community and writing a scene, you don't need the framework, it's something every writer can already do and does nowadays.
Thanks for this feedback Power Broker. I see this problem too; and yet, game studios & TV shows have some way of making writing work as a team effort.

Your post encouraged me to reach out to the World Famous Game Designer who gave me some advice last year; I've asked him how his studios do this, maybe he can give me some usable insights. So thanks for bringing this up.

Crushstation it's natural that quite a few people will become skeptical or disappointed by the long time it's taking to get the agent into Bangkok. However there are also quite a few people around here that do actually understand what you're doing now and why it can't be postponed anymore. I loved the premise of the game, but when I played it for the first time about 1 year ago, my main concern was that if the sex engine remained like it was being presented, the game would become boring really quickly, so I for one am actually glad you started tackling this issue prior to developping Bangkok's story.

The best games always take time to develop and fans are always frustrated by the time it takes for them to get to play it. That's just how it is. I also don't believe you're procrastinating or being overly perfectionist, but actually doing what needs to be done. Could it be faster? Probably, if you had more experience in this area and got the discipline and sense of organisation that I'm seeing you follow on these last updates in your patreon page. But anyway, I'm glad to see you're on the right track now and I believe sonner rather then later we'll all start seeing the benefits of this, as long as you don't get sidetracked.

All in all, I would advise you not to let the critiques you read here get your morale down. See them as a positive thing because people only get frustrated regarding things they like. If all those people didn't liked your game they wouldn't bother to spend their time ranting about it here. They just want to have more, and rightly so, but we can't expect everyone to be able to understand the important of the process you're implementing at the moment.

Good luck and keep up the hard work, cause we all want our kates to go to Bangkok ASAP.

I'm not sure I like this response, perhaps I didn't understand it correctly, but it sounds like there's no actual story.

Those sex scene ideas sound great, however, from this description, the "main part of the game" sounds like an entirely different game that is introduced as of now. Or maybe I just misunderstood the premise of the game.

As it is right now: Female Agent is a game where a female agent (duh) has to carry out some espionage mission in [place] (Bangkok). She can use her training, which includes using her female assets

What I got from this post: Female Agent is a whoring simulator where you have to survive in Bangkok by selling out your body. Oh but your past included some training in an intelligence service.

I hope it's just me misunderstanding the post.

That's a lot of different things. I'm definitely hoping that we will be able to avoid things that we don't like, it's one thing for her to have to do things she doesn't want to, but things we don't want to do are another matter.

AFAIK, for the entire time (or at least for the entire 2019) the premise was: a female agent has to carry out an espionage mission, which is literally "to survive in Bangkok by selling your body and pose as a whore in hopes that one day you'll get fucked by the target". Which was explained in plain text in the game itself. Which leads me to a conclusion you have at the very least just clicked through that part or at the most haven't played the game at all. Not sure why bother with commenting a text game which you don't even pay attention too (there's no juicy CGI to skip to here), since what could be a better sign that the game is not for you when you click through it, but eh, whatever.

Yeah i hope even there will be plenty of Sex in the Game, it will be still also something so that the Sex and fun side and the Agent things will be tied well together. So maybeif i wanna play my female Agent more like some kind of Jane Bond, she still can be very seductive and clever and a femme fatale, but still need not to whore herself out and mostly can do missions, socialize with ppl besides of Sex and build up her personal network to gain intel and support. Reminds me of a couple of Shadowrun PC i created and played over the last 20 years. :)
