You should understand that if you are paying a monthly sub then you are paying for development not releases. There are other funding models e.g. pay on release, publishers, crowdfunding etc. If you don't like this model then... just don't pay. But stop crying about it. Because...

I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, but love and hate are just two sides of the same coin. Everyone cares enough to share their thoughts, whether positive or negative. It’s all about how constructive and civil the comments are.

Let me reiterate: Crush is a fantastic writer, but project management and coding are not his strong suits. He should focus on writing the story rather than chasing new features. Remember, Tolkien completed "Lord of the Rings" before it became a movie classic. Similarly, "Disco Elysium" had its final cut only after the initial release.

Dollars spent shouldn't dictate the right to comment—as long as the feedback is logical and valid, why not? Most of bipbopboop's replies are ad hominem attacks like "hey Elon." If you're not Crush, discuss the real issues: How can FA development be faster? Is it fair to Patreons for updates to be skipped or the project reset? Lobsterman, for example, advised his fans to unsubscribe until he could update.

There are better ways to handle downtime. Transparency and accountability isn't about "haters."

My guy.... If I go to the restaurant and pay for a table and have to wait, fine. But if they close the doors for the night without ever giving me a table I just got scammed. See how that works? Do you see how people might think they've been scammed if it has been over a year without an update but he's still making nearly 5k? The only way your scenario works is if Crush was actually doing something, he has claimed over and over that he works ridiculous hours, I don't believe him anymore, he's a liar and a scammer and I'm telling people not to support him.

Whelp a month later... like I mentioned before I check on updates infrequently to games I have enjoyed. I have contemplated not following this game for a while because I followed when it literally first came out and thought it was a unique concept... but as someone else pointed out it was not updated once in 2024. It's been rebooted twice. It has less content than it did a few ears ago. Copycat games literally have more content. And once again... you haven't said anything constructive regarding why I should like this game... it certainly isn't the mindless fanboy community that thinks we are insane and "mean" in this forum.

Yeah that's fair I just wasn't sure if he made another promise he can't keep. Really I only follow this because it's funny enough seeing this thread. If he does something monumentally stupid in his discord I'll never know if someone doesn't share it here.

At this point it's the only reason I follow... I think I've given up on this particular game. Honestly some of the inspo copycat games are better.

I am unclear about why a game that has had no updates for as long as this one does not have the ABANDONED tag.

I don't believe Crush left his day job for even a second.

I don't believe that Victoria is to blame for the delays either for the simple reason that even if it had taken her 6 months to ship the artwork for eye-shadow, Crush would still have had time to write the scenes and sort the coding. He might not have been able to ship a final version as the assets would not have been in place but a) there were already avatar assets in place and b) he could have turned off the avatar and shipped an alpha as proof that he hasn't spent the entire year avoiding working on the game.

No... Crush's problem is that while he's able to ship code, he can't ship text. He would rather strip a game down to brass tacks over and over again than sit down and write a sex scene. He can plan until the cows come home and spend months tweaking code around the sex scenes but he cannot or will not sit down and actually write. Everything else, from the art, to the skills system, to the avatars, to the (awful sounding) dynamic sex system are displacement activities. He can't write and he's too stubborn to hire someone in to do the writing work for him.

At this point he could use AI to write a scene...
