The amount of bad things you read do mean that enough people care to be here and keep expressing opinions.
The writing that is there is good. The story has potential. It is unlikely to ever go anywhere.
Play the game and enjoy it for what it is, not what it could be, not what it was promised to be, not what it used to be, but simply what it is right now.

I think the newest devlog is probably the funniest thing crush is ever written. Which is why I think he actually took Prawnstar69's prompt and had AI do it for him.

My prompt was actually copy-pasting his actual devlogs and asking chatgpt to write me a month's worth. If I had to do it again, I would insist on using the word frazzled. Good news though, only 2 months away from the 18 month abandoned tag, so we should see something before then. Initially gave him benefit of doubt, until I found an even hotter version of a future report on this upcoming Lifepath release:

Anyone know if the testers actually exist, outside of Discord noise? Because the testers are always right, but only in hindsight. How about have these same sage testers craft out a dev path he can follow, rather than rewrite? Same goes for the lovely Victoria, because apparently she cannot draw a short skirt until after aforementioned rewrites. Anyone had any evidence of any test versions in 2024?
I swear 2026 will be better, faster and hotter... Trust me.
So, anyone want to take a guess, if Crush makes it to two years without update or not? After all, we're halfway through with March.

I'd lay money on it. Even if we take his dev logs at face value (and it would be foolish to do so) we are still not close to a release. IIRC I predicted when it started that this Lifepath nonsense would paralyze him for 18 months, but it turns out I was being a Pollyanna. More the fool I.

Yeah but James Bond movies don't give you an eight-hour origin story that details JB's struggles with acne, attempts to lose his virginity and assorted hijinks during his gap year abroad. So obviously they suck and Ian Fleming had no clue.
Luckily we have Crush to show definitively how a spy story worthy of its name should be told!
To be fair, I’d totally watch or play a game where we’re a young James Bond getting up to teenage hijinks.
He will 100% publish an update before summer.

By the way, one of the most talented things Crush does with his reports, is that he always biases the "response options" towards the ones he wants to hear. Notice how, even when he pretends to ask for feedback, it never comes in the form of "Should I do A knowing that it has these pros and cons, or B, knowing it has these other prons and cons?"

Of course most people are going to say "Keep doing A", they only see "it has pros". Classic manipulation.

Back in the day, if you were stupid, you got eaten by a hyena when you were 12. Now, however, the people of Great Britain deliberately destroyed their own economy by voting for Brexit and the people of the United States deliberately destroyed their own country by putting Donald Trump in office not once but twice. Our prosperity has removed the penalty for stupidity, and therefore there are way too many stupid people around. A small percentage of them support Crush.
Judging by the comments in the posts, I'd say he doesn't actually have loyal patreons. There's just a steady rotation of people being excited about the game, then burning out.
I'm particularly fond of the current line which is "Oh... I want to make game A, but everyone seems to want game B..."
