I've played Blue Swallow but iirc there isn't much content outside of the prologue, which in itself is pretty long
Not sure what you consider content, but did a quick look. Post-Prologue currently has 23 distinct sex scenes, that's not counting their variations based on choices, nor the sex-adjacent scenes like exhibitionism, groping, etc.

My last playthrough of FA I don't think hit 10 sex scenes.

The fact is you write too much, it's not always engaging, and the eye candy isn't good enough to encourage a player to read anything. If I want a good novella I can find 1000 on Asstr or Literotica.

You need to move beyond pixel art, and develop a system even more robust than what crush did with more scenes and graphics. And you would need to condense how you write. What good is a none milking dev who does updates in a timely manner, if they can't hook their audience in graphics or writing?

I'm not saying it's a fault with the writing, as in if you self identify as an author/writer, I am not trashing your work. But saying the format or approach needs to be different for a game.

I was going to say that this was a thread for Female Agent discussion, not Blue Swallow, but then Blue Swallow will likely update at least a half a dozen times before FA does, so...
I might be miscounting, but two dozen updates since the last FA update show that it is possible to do so in a ~4 week cycle without overextending yourself. Then again, Cassie is probably not working full time, 24/7 on the game like other people, so you'll have to forgive her for delivering smaller chunks instead of the motherload of spreadsheets in one big release.

Ok - so how come I made one post of the game that is a parody of this one and it got deleted for "mentioning other games" yet Blue Swallow posts are ignored. Confused
because no one cares about this forum post anymore xd

You speak with a lot of certainty, but your position lacks depth and clarity.

Yes, more scenes and more images will always have broader appeal to a wider audience. If every game prioritized brevity, visuals and "reward frequency", then they'd all look like Fortnite, Valorant or Battlefield. They're massively successful, but I shouldn't need to explain to you why not every game copies them.

Just like how there are different types of "writing" (novels, short stories, magazine articles, fanfiction and twitter posts), there are different types of games, that appeal to different types of people. A creator is going to play to their strengths and cater for an audience that resonates with the type of content that they put out.

A dev who writes “too much” for one reader might be just right for another who’s been starved for something richer. Saying that a visual novel or a piece of interactive fiction (like Blue Swallow or Orphan) needs to be turned into a calorie-dense clickfest of shiny images and pixelated pussies isn't the answer. It may be what you want, but it doesn't NEED to be done. Cassie has 300+ patrons and I'm sure that it'll continue to grow because they have a cool project that plenty of people resonate with and want to support. Niches exist and mass appeal isn't always the answer.

In short: there is always room to improve, but not every game is trying to win the same race.
Some are mapping a different route with different fans.

So Wun Sen when? haha
That's one of the things that Blue Swallow makes it worse :LUL:, the receptionist there is a mean looking woman who spends her time reading old magazines or something like that, and on top of that she gives you bad service.

Wun Sen for the win (y)!

Crush big hurt & don't like us no more:
BipBopBop left us

And no one argues with this.

Sharpx23 just admitted that BS has too much soulless text on the page for a spiritual successor of FA and I agree with him

If FA has no variations at all, then BS has so much text and variations that it's confusing to play for me

The comments on the new transparency report is hilarious. Paying customers are fed up. Wonder how Crush will respond to this valid concern.
I'm working hard, I have to revise some things, add something here and there, then revise some more, testers tell me to take a break, I'm working hard (wait, we've already had that...)

I'm pretty sure the posts that were preserved were ones that mentioned FA. The ones that got deleted were just talking about other games, which is fair -- you want to talk about those games, go to their threads and talk about them.
The game I compared it to, Girly Spy, resembles FA more than Blue Swallow. Either have the rule or don't. Whatever though, let's talk about Female Agent. Even though Crush said he don't care one teeny bit about f95. Let's still honor him. Anyone see that new pic Crush posted with the transparency report? Wow. Worth the price of admission.

Kinda shocking tbh. Usually even now his comments are just people nodding along and taking his shit at face value. This is the first time I've not seen a single defender swoop in to tell the others how much they should believe.

I'm just shaking my head at the recent series of comments. The line of reasoning between Crush and his patrons goes:

Patrons: It's taking too long. It's been nearly 2 years without any release, not even sneak peeks at what is actually being worked on.
Crush: Sorry! Sharing the current version wouldn't be fun, because it's still broken and only thanks to our inner circle playtesting it will it improve.
Patrons: If you don't release anything, it's incredibly hard to support you.
Crush: We completely understand, while we really appreciate your support, we're not doing this for the money, we're doing this to produce the best FA possible.
Patrons: Well, If you aren't going to release WIP or anything, and if you aren't doing it for the money...pause billing.
Crush: If we paused billing and we had to make this a side gig, it'd take even longer!

So, in summation: We're not doing it for the money. But without the money, we wouldn't do it. Keep supporting us on the promise that sometime in the future you'll get a release, because we don't have your support...it will only take longer.

The way you put it, it quickly reminds me of the classic:

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.

I guess constant deflection just looks the same no matter its origin.

4.) The MOABS (the big outline Crush was working on before the Lifepath revamp) was very much necessary. I can't honestly say it'll speed up development on a release-by-release basis, but between MOABS and the full Lifepath, FA has a much stronger foundation than it did previously. So even if the releases remain widely spaced out, those releases will feel more like progressing the story and less like "here's some wacky shenanigans Kate and Crew got up to while waiting for A Wild Devilfish Appeared".
My dude, if after 2 years of not launching damn fucking update* it's foundations are not "strong" then i would say any violence inflicted upon Crush would be justified.

Again, if after 2 years of development of a single damn update the history is Kate doing stupid things then i would say any violence inflicted upon Crush would be justified.

And; If the updates are 18 months** long to be launched then i xpect a game-long duration update. Anything that dosn't finish this game the next update then it's still a fucking damn scam and his only intention is still milking idiots daddy's hard earned money on Patreon.

Imma say it again; 2 f u c k i n g years for a single update, more than 7 f u c k i n g years and we can still only play the introduction and some "playable" history. Why is so hard for people to see this? Why discord and patreon members are so damn fucking retarded to DEMAND Crush to show his work? Why are they so damn fucking stupid to believe the ol' excuse of "i can't show my work yet! but it's hoooooot". DEMAND it lmao.

*(2 years of allegedly working his ass off working 24/7)

2.) From the preview, it looks like dynamic stats will be fully implemented. Right now, they're just static placeholders, but there are placeholders for focuses during High School, University, and Spy Training, with they way they'll affect future stats included.
Did this user even play the previous lifepath? Messages with "you have gained +1 in Bike Riding" were always there, and I think the variables were set. But they were never actually used.

Hmm...
Sounds like Crush, for the nth time scrapped everything and started over. including unintentional picasso styled art. AI?

There's a special term for games that have had 3 or more complete overhauls before reching 1.0, Vaporware.

a) You're always going to learn new things.
b) You're always going to learn better ways to do old things.

If you always insist on implementing the cutting egde of a & b, you will NEVER finish. Know when to say 'when,' and stick to it.
