Seems to me that a way to circumvent the "real women don't act that way" complaint (which I think is somewhat overblown sometimes, there is such a thing as individuality you know) is to set the game in fantasy or sci-fi. You may make assumptions about how Jenny the cashier should think and behave based on current gender norms that you're familiar with IRL. Not so much for Grakka the Despoiler. Of course, you still need to have the character's thoughts and actions make sense for their background and the setting, especially for something more psychological like a corruption game.

Female loving male here, and based on this thread, I'm surprised at how much of an outlier I seem to be, since I absolutely put myself in the shoes of the MC, male or female. Female protagonist games actually used to be a no-go for me (I mean pornographic ones, never had a problem being a woman in a regular RPG), but I eventually learned to enjoy it. I actually find it funny that I was eased into it by playing male-to-female transformation games, where I could play as a guy trapped in a female body, and little by little I realized maybe I don't actually mind being the woman in these situations...

Since I roleplay as the protagonist and am only interested in women, I only play female protagonist games that have a lesbian route. (That's why I'm thankful for our resident lesbian players here, their comments are often very valuable to letting me know if I have a chance to enjoy a female protag game or not.) I'm also sexually submissive and into femdom, and it doesn't whether I'm playing as a man or a woman, I'm always looking to be the sub in some femdom/lezdom relationship. I'll even add that I never actually had any interest in lesbian porn at all before I learned to see myself as one of the women involved...

Not really, the poll result only proofs that there are far more guys than girls on F95 and thats not surprising with the lack of content. Most FP games are tagged with rape, blackmail, prostitution, humiliation, gangbang, corruption, ... and well, i dont think many girls are into this degenerated stuff, its even worse because some can easily trigger traumatic memorys. Look at the female results of your poll, 1/3 hetero 1/3 lesbian 1/3 bi...in other words 2/3 of the girls who voted here would enjoy more lesbian content...how many FP games have lesbian routes? 1/10? 1/20? Its hard to say, but if you only follow the latest updates there are not many. And if you think of males as target audience, it is more than strange there are more dicks than tits in most FP games...so its only logically to guess what the players of those games are really looking for/at...and thats not really a straight hobby
I ignore female protagonist threads without lesbian tag, if i open a thread i use the search to check if there is a pure lesbian route or just a few scenes. If i dont get an useful result i ask myself. I dont need to know more...ok, if it has a ntr tag i also ask if it is avoidable, but thats all. If the game fits me i dont want spoilers and if the game dont fit me i close the tab and dont read it ^^

I just like to see the one hot fp get fucked by a bunch of dicks, also it gives the player a sense of control over someone (yes I know that's fucked up but that's just the way it is for a lot of people)
Also, I will not lie it's nice to be in the shoes of a female without having to affect your entire life and the view of others towards yourself since nobody is gonna care or at least realize you are playing these games since they're "fictional" and what happens in video games stay in video games (for the most part)

Straight Male, the only FMC games I was able to enjoy were the full lesbian ones, with no straight content. Games such as Bad Memories and Mythos even allow you to play as a straight male as well, so it's pretty much a similar experience as playing with your usual male MC.

Mm.. i think most male mc games have the problem that the mc looks like a turd. So they are usually a no go for me. I don't like to be that turd. And i am on the other side. Love being a doll.

and that the men who play games of women protagonists without self-insert is also false, many are inserted with the secondary male character, and for the slutmaker games many are self-insert as a kind of master who corrupts the protagonist and then there are those who insert themselves in some way with the protagonist, but for me that's already close to being gay.

yes there are some who play without inserting themselves but from the comments I usually see in all the games, both female and male protagonists, the great majority of them do self-insert.
