Oh, there are quite a few male protagonist games that I like. Games such as Depraved Awakenings, My Sweet Neighbors, Acting Lessons, My Girlfriends Amnesia, Deviant Discoveries, Lancaster Boarding House etc.

Japanese male: 99% of visual novels with a school setting like Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate, Wagamama High Spec...

There's also the case of all Japanese RPG Maker dungeon crawlers with rape-on-defeat but for them the protagonist tend to be similar to western female ones.

I don't know what it is really. It might be something wholly connected to nature where, you know, a pregnant woman is like a woman taken out of sexual circulation. As soon as she is pregnant she is basically sexually invisible to me. It really speaks to a completely animalistic view on sex, where the sole purpose of the act itself is procreation. Of course, one might be able to simply turn that logic on it's head and say; that's exactly why impregnation is desirable. Who knows man... maybe we just like what we like.

I agree with you on many of your points. A lot of these female protagonist games DO in fact entail cuck/ntr, the protagonist is not especially good at getting herself out of undesired sexual situations, and the town is usually filled with what you called rapist assholes. You are absolutely right about all that. So if we use those as a template/outline/criteria (our very own no-no-list), we are now looking for a "good female protagonist game" with no ntr, a non-stupid protagonist, and non-rapisty secondary characters. Here are two suggestions for female protagonist games you might enjoy (I added a little description):

- "Good Girl Gone Bad" by EvaKiss
This game has a multitude of possible storylines and character developments dependent on player-choices (and it ACTUALLY works in this game). So a game that could/should be played multiple times. If you don't want ntr then just break up with the boyfriend, or be faithful to him.

Female Protagonist faced with a choice between 'pure' or 'deviant', but there are equal sex scenes on both sides, so don't worry too much about that. Great storyline also. The main character pretty quickly takes charge of her own sexuality in this one.

I mean, I could list a bunch more games that I personally find to be "good games" but most of them wouldn't live up to our other three criterias. But then again, seriously dude, if you are concerned about these 'rapist assholes' you really shouldn't be, cos in the vast majority of the female protagonist games you get to make a decision. Yeah sure, the males are a little pushy, but you can alway say 'no'. I mean, you don't HAVE to just fuck everybody who speaks to you. But then again, I think you might simply be right in your evaluation of you own taste in games. I think fem protags might just not be for you and that's cool. We don't have to all enjoy the same shit. It's funny though, cos when you list all the things that you try to avoid in a game, I'm literally thinking: "But that's all the good shit! What does this have to do with the point I was making? He asked me games featuring the kind of protagonist archetypes I described and I did just that. Regardless of the plot both of these games feature a personality-less creep as the main character.
