It's because I want the psychological changes of the character to reflect how hard it is to control Quinn, the main character. The player might want to fight and run but Quinn just wants to surrender and get fucked. If you think it's a bad idea, just let me know.
I think that is a terrible idea. I love this game and all things femboy but what I love even more is player agency.
I also agreed.I have to agree with SH here. The worst thing you can do is take away a person's ability to play the game. Making it harder makes sense up to a certain point. The current system is already pretty restricting to the point of annoyance, especially when Quinn decides to reset your escape process on what is effectively a dice roll.
Although, if you still want that aspect to represent the character personal struggle to separate the player and Quinn apart as your game design of choice, I suggest that you make it an optional stuff like how you allow player to select which fetish are to be omitted.
Maybe give an options to allow player to customize their experience like 'Enable Submission', essentially keep the mechanic, and if unticked, Quinn will never randomized the chance to blank out while being caught.
I'm personally a big fan of customizable experience. Things that allowed me as much range as possible to assert how the game can be played from dirt easy to diabolically impossible, and I'll adapted my play style as such.
I even want to suggest an optional system that allow the 'caught' scene to be loop indefinitely and only end on a successful struggling, maybe even give them damage on aggressor's climax (or Quinn's) to give a sense of urgency and add even more difficulty (that you can choose). So that I can experience particular scene with playing the game instead of take a stroll in gallery. Seeing stuff in gallery and through gameplay give difference experiences to me, and I personally prefer the later.
With these idea, I can basically make the game absurdly harder than a soul-like, or piss easy like a snowballed Vampire Survival, or a mixed of both aspect for a change of pace. A customizable difficulty.
But those were just an idea! I won't know how hard it is to code those stuff in and not spaghettized the whole stuff but I hope you're considered some of these.
