Coiling Dragon comes to mind, its one of the first ones I read, its more western setting so its a great gateway into the genre, it has a ridiculously wholesome love interest story, but expect it to drag on for like 900 chapters, but its really worth it. I am not entirely sure where you can read it for free though, I used wuxiaworld, but they are greedy now and don't let people read for free
Edit: Best part is it's complete (kind of a rarity in this genre) and its only about 2000 chapters

I mean...yes? But like I said, there is tons of misogyny, I do have a few I can recommend and actually one I am currently reading that I like. I should warn you though, they can be really addicting when you get into them
EDIT: I may as well, this is what I'm currently reading, but I am not sure if its a good "starter" one, but it is one of the more popular ones:
Kinda? It seems like a lot, but its not weird for them to get to 5k-8k chapters. They aren't like chapters like you're used to. Basically the authors make their money by writing out the story, so they tend to write like 1-2 chapters a day. Imagine like an ongoing comic strip, but its in novel form. The chapters are usually anywhere from 1/2 a page in length to 3 pages in length, so its not like they are really long. The sad part is if you read enough of them, you start really recognizing patterns and can tell where the Arc is going based on a few clues (There will always be, a cheeky heroine that has friction with the MC/or is the only one that understands him and doesn't treat him like trash, Some bullies he will teach a lesson, some fight to the death, something for the sake of the sect, an auction, rinse and repeat, shaking up the order a bit)
The nice thing about Coiling Dragon is it's not really that same formula (almost like false advertisement really...), but its just really good and you still get the main aspects I guess. It has cultivation, martial arts, trying to become immortal and all that stuff, but with things somewhat simplified.
I know its hard to believe but you know how they say to find out if you're into an anime/manga you watch/read the first 3 chapters? In this genre, you tend to treat the first 100 chapters like that. You'll be astounded how fast it flies by, and if you're really into it you'll hit the end before you realize it.
So I'm gonna read it Found an article about Jin Yong with these words in it: "Jin Yong nüxia’s beautiful appearances, xia behaviors, and good martial arts skills are all parts of nüxia’s conventional images. However, Jin Yong develops them further in a more extended aspect. The nüxia’s beauty is incomparable to anything in the world; the nüxia’s spirit of xia exists in both good and bad nature; the nüxia’s martial arts skills fits her femininity and intelligence. Furthermore, they seek to achieve their goals and ambition other than seeking revenge. In comparison to the previous literary works, Jin Yong’s nüxia’s are vivid with emotion and independence that can compete with the nanxia in the wuxia world."

Huh, I'll give this a look. Between ghostking, the assassin rebirth, the girl with the "scarred" face, I keep hoping for a female lead novel that will debunk me and I can find an exception (I read more than those, but those 3 initially gave me the most hope)

The Condor Heroes is a group of characters, but the main one's male afaik. It's quite famous book, there's also a quite liked TV adaptation I was planning to watch. Unfortunately I don't know much about wuxia books as I'm into movies. But I was always curious if I'll enjoy wuxia novels too.
I mean, there is supposedly the Ophelia scene later, but I'm kinda devastated over Tiff, she seems like she'd be a lot of fun as a character exploring how to become more and more dominant
EDIT: Sigh...every chapter he seems to get more and more like a douche and it's getting romanticized off...I think after chapter 9 if something really epic doesn't happen and kinda adjust how the MC is getting, I'm ready to drop this...
I see AI Dungeon and HoloAI, so I feel I should bring up NovelAI. It's very similar to the other two, but it's got a lot of features, such as biasing for or against certain phrases to make something come up more or less, and community made "lorebooks" to either help improve the AI's phrasing, or create a world to set the story in. Unfortunately though, it's not free. It's subscription based like AI Dungeon premium, and there are no plans for a free version as of yet.
Synopsis: The MC, a 26 year old girl, is looking for a new roomie that turns out to be a subbie, lesbian pervert. Lezdom, past baggage and romance ensues (not necessarily in that order). Kinetic novel with soft lesbian romance and consentual domming.

Yeah, not fond of the art either. It's a Ren'Py game without any interactive elements. Might have classified those kind of pics wrongly though KG is labeled 2D as well.
This 100%. The femdom tag is applied largely as a way of "warning" people who don't like femdom that it's in there somewhere, and the femdom often just amounts to a little bit of assertive behavior based on conversation choices, or 1-2 obscure consensual footjob/cunnilingus scenes with a single character.
So the default assumption should always be that games with the femdom tag don't have significant femdom. Especially for games where it's suddenly applied to a 100+ page thread. Only sensible thing to do is never pay serious attention to the tag by itself, unless you're desperate to find more games with femdom or have free time to spare investigating. f95's tag system has been in development limbo for years now which is a little ridiculous, but I still love the site. Bottom line is that it seems like it's up to the community to self-organize at this point, hence why many of us deeply welcomed this thread.
Yeah....I like Alex (but you're not into futa), but I really hate that whole push to gay thing that happens...I found out its getting somewhat better? There is 1-2 forced scenes with the Male friend to progress but you don't have to interact anymore after that with him and you can have more of an exclusive relationship with your boss, but she does seem to have a tendency to wanna see you get dicked down...(this has been my bitching point for years now about the sissification genre)
Yeah, it's a fair point to bitch about... I've also tried many of these games. It's probably easier for me because occasional gay content doesn't bother me at all, I just let my eyes glaze over since it doesn't personally turn me on. I've read many people say they dislike "sissy" games because they inevitably turn into gay content. I want to say that's not necessarily true. At least back when I first started to browse femdom porn, which was before sissy porn became a massive tumblr community (and before the kid me even knew that trans people existed). The typical depictions were men in exaggerated pinkish frilly outfits, being spanked or treated like a girl by an authoritative woman, with little to no gay content. But I've started to accept that the trend is indeed almost overwhelming for f95zone's sissy-oriented games.

Coiling Dragon is definitely a top recommendation for Chinese fantasy web novels. This author's works always have very wholesome MCs, relative to other CN authors at least. And smart progression fantasy. Ironically, I remember there was some criticism of "misogyny" among English-speaking readers (people who are more used to Japanese light novels) because at one point there's a woman who mistreats the MC and the "reaction" (not from the MC in particular, but rather other people) is disproportionate and her life is ruined and she's filled with regret. But nah, that's not misogyny, that's just the way CN authors tend to cause people who offend the MC to have their lives ruined. For better or worse, CN novels can have very intense plots. ...As for what CN web novels I'd recommend to femdom fans, it's hard to pick since they're all more or less chauvinistic at the core so the MC is ultimately in the driver's seat of the relationship by the end of the story. Two titles that have assertive and strong female characters who never become submissive are Against The Gods and Battle Through The Heavens. The latter is a rare case where the 2 main heroines are a yandere and a monster girl, both much stronger than the MC for 90% of the novel. Sometimes I also fantasized about the Nest Queens from Swallowed Star (same author as Coiling Dragon) since they're powerful sexy aliens who have been known to tempt strong men and erode their souls to turn them into puppets/slaves, but there's no explicit kink there, and they barely show up in the story; rather, the MC even has one as his servant at one point (a completely non-sexual relationship).
Supposedly there is a femdom scene in here somewhere, but still haven't got to it. It figures though, the character that's supposed to do it is gated off until I basically finish EVERY OTHER event in the chapter first

I should've taken the screenshot of the next couple clicks forward, we're talking face-buried, head clamped and massive squirt all over his face, it was awesome
